She purses her lips together and says, “Yes.”

“What if it’s a koala?” Brooklyn asks.

“Why would it be a koala?” Ethan responds.

“I don’t know. They are just so cute.”

Elizabeth says, “I’m pretty sure it’s not an animal.”

Maggie’s eyes widen. “Do you know something?”

Elizabeth just looks coy.

“Oh, you know! Tell us,” Maggie says.

Celeste is sitting beside Elizabeth and says, “Yeah. We need to know. Give us some hints.”

“I’ll just say. You’re never going to guess.”

“Oh my god, we’re all going to space,” Keene says.

Elizabeth laughs loudly.

“Are we meeting an astronaut?” Eli asks.

“Do you want to meet an astronaut? We can arrange that,” Elizabeth responds.

Eli shrugs one of his shoulders and says, “Yeah. Of course.”

“Well, it has nothing to do with space.”

Keene groans.

“Has he cloned a dinosaur likeJurassic Park?” Declan asks.

“Sweet. We’re getting a pet dinosaur.” Maggie high fives Declan.

Elizabeth shakes her head. “No dinosaurs, unfortunately.”

“Rats,” Declan mumbles. “He needs to work on that.”

We all sit in a silence for a moment until James walks back in the room, following by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Everyone looks around in confusion.

Will stands up and extends his hand, “Chief Justice Diaz. Good to see you.”

No one else has moved. Keene says under his breath, “Honestly, a koala would make more sense than this.”

“She’s no astronaut, but she’s still pretty cool,” Eli replies.

James claps his hands together. “Let’s get Declan and Maggie married – legally.”

The room erupts as soon as he says this. Keene manages to be heard over everyone else. “Wait? He can do it, but you can’t?”

“Neither of us could do it in Italy,” James responds. “Honestly, anyone can do it here if you fill out some paperwork, but the Chief Justice is ready to go, and she was happy to help us out.”

Declan looks over at Maggie, a huge smile on his face. “You ready to do this?”
