She rolls her eyes. “I’m just trying to be a normal twenty-two year old.”

Will shakes his head. “We really can’t have that.”

Juno pours him a cup of coffee and hands him the mug. “How was your flight?”

“Uneventful. Ansley slept for most of it, thank god.”

“Are we all going to the Vatican today?” she asks.

“That’s the plan,” Declan says as he checks his watch. “Speaking of which, we need to leave soon. We have timed tickets for the Sistine Chapel.”

Isteal glances atJuno. She’s looking up at the ceiling.

“I wish we could lay down on the ground,” she whispers to Brooklyn. “I feel like we’d be able to see it better.”

Brooklyn laughs softly. “I know. My neck is getting stiff.”

I walk over to the wall and study it until I feel a presence beside me.

“You are supposed to be looking at the ceiling,” Juno says. “Isn’t that what everyone comes for?”

“I like the wall,” I say. I point. “See that?”

She squints a little, “The guy dropping that ghost body? I’m not sure what I’m looking at.”

“It’s supposed to be Michelangelo’s self-portrait.”

She giggles. “He had a high opinion of himself – he’s given himself a superhero body. Do you think he was that ripped?”

“Yeah- I bet it’s totally accurate,” I smirk and then add. “That’s how I’d do my self-portrait too.”

She shakes her head and then studies the painting for a minute. “What’s he dropping?”

“It’s supposed to represent his melancholy.”

She doesn’t say anything for a moment and then says, “Oh, that’s pretty powerful.”

“I know. That’s why I like it.”

She watches my face and then turns her gaze back to the wall. “Pretty ballsy to add yourself to a painting with all these biblical figures and saints.”

“Well, he had the game to back it up.”

“I’d say so,” she says.

She turns her gaze to me. I don’t like the way she’s looking at me. I start to sweat a little. “What?”

She smiles. “Nothing. Bo.”

Bo. My skin tingles, and she gives me a little smile. “I know you don’t like me, but I’m glad you decided to come on this trip. I’ll try not to drive you too crazy.”

I’ll try not to drive you too crazy. Ha. Not a chance.

She pats my back and then walks back over to the other side of the chapel and rejoins her sisters.
