“Something to look forward to with Tank,” Allison said, but she smiled when she said it.

“Where does the time go?” Rach asked, her gaze softening as she looked at her son.

“No idea,” Mia replied. “Colt’s already hinting at another.”

“Another what?” I asked.

“Baby.” Mia wrinkled her nose. “I think the man is certifiable, but there you have it.”

“My brother hinting?” Joni shook her head. “I don’t buy it.”

“I was being diplomatic. He wants another baby and he’s starting to get very vocal about it.”

“Scarlett’s not even a year old,” Darcy said.

“Yeah.” Mia scratched the side of her head. “But I must be crazy, because I’m actually considering it.”

“Seriously?” Rach asked.

“Seriously,” she said. “I know it’s nuts. But I’m already fucking exhausted. I might as well have another and then I can be done. Three kids is a good number.”

“What do you think, Doc?” Darcy asked.

“I think Mia didn’t ask for my opinion,” Doc said with a smile. “And it’s a decision between her and Colt.”

“I don’t think you’re crazy,” Joni said. “I’ve been thinking the same thing.”

“Yeah, but you’re baby-crazy,” Allison said with a wink.

Joni grinned. “Have youseenmy husband? I can barely keep my hands to myself.”

I stood up and hastily covered my mouth but didn’t stifle my yawn. “Anyone need anything?”

They shook their heads.

“I’ll be back. I need to use the restroom.”

I headed into the clubhouse and heard someone moving around in the kitchen. Frowning in confusion, I went to investigate.

It was Crow. He was standing at a cutting board, wielding a knife. He looked over his shoulder at me.

“Hey,” I said.

“Hey.” He turned his attention back to the cutting board.

I bit my lip, wondering if I should stay or go.

“Are you cooking?” I asked.

“Yeah.”

“But there’s food already.”

“Cooking is something I can do without thinking. And I need to be occupied, you know?”

“I know. You want me to leave?”

“You don’t have to.”
