I nodded.
He smirked before pressing a quick kiss to my lips. He reached for the condom, tearing open the packet and rolling it on. I watched as he aligned his erection between my legs. I held my breath, ready for him.Soready for him. He pushed once, twice, and then he slipped right inside. We both groaned, ready to spiral down the same path together.
“You feel so fucking good, Grace.”
I tried to smile, but so many emotions were washing over me with Seren looking so hot on top of me and feeling so amazing inside of me. Every part of his body was strong and in charge. And right then, I was getting all of him.
I slipped my hands around his hips, gliding them over the rock-hard muscles in his back. I trailed my fingertips down, sliding them over the dip in his back and then his ass, grasping him there as he thrust in and out of me. He wasn’t moving fast. He’d set his rhythm and didn’t waver from it. So Seren-like. So planned out. So focused.
I lifted my hips, craving the feel of him moving against my clit. He sensed my need and adjusted his hips, hitting it every time. White spots formed behind my closed eyes. Heat began to build between my thighs. My panting became heavy. My whimpers became pained. I wanted to hold on and let go all at the same time.
“I’ve got you, Grace.”
I opened my eyes to find his eyes focused on mine. His cheeks were flushed and sweat clung to his forehead. God, he was a vision.
“I want to see you come, Grace,” he panted as his thrusts became harder. “It’s all I can think about.”
My belly dipped. I kept my gaze on his as I let the sensations spiraling inside me coil so tightly that all I could do was let go. Everything inside me released and tingles shot out from between my thighs to every part of my body. “Oh. My. God,” I panted, never having endured something so all-consuming in my entire life.
Seren didn’t stop even when the waves that washed over me subsided. He linked his arms under my bent knees, urging them to his sides. “Holy fuck,” he said through clenched teeth, gliding in faster and harder. I held on to his hips, watching his face contort from what looked like pain to what I knew to be pleasure. He thrust a few more times before groaning, then stilling inside me. He unlinked his arms from my knees and lowered himself on top of me, dropping his head to the side of my neck and remaining like that for a long time. Our labored breathing and racing hearts mirrored each other as we lay together in silence.
I hadn’t planned on having sex with him. It was definitely very soon. But I knew I had strong feelings for Seren. He made me feel special and he trusted me with everything sacred to him—even though I knew it was difficult for him to let people in.
“Thank you, Grace,” he said, finally breaking the silence.
“For what?”
“For trusting me.”
Ripples rolled through my belly. How was it that I was the only one who got to see this side of him? “I would definitely go to a Seren prom again.”
He laughed, finally lifting his head and resting his chin so he could look at me. “Is that so?”
I nodded.
“Would it freak you out if I told you I loved you?” he asked.
My eyes widened.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” he said. And, though he tried to conceal his disappointment, it was there.
“It wouldn’t freak me out,” I admitted, needing him to know he could feel however he wanted to feel.
A small smile formed in the corners of his lips. “Good to know.” He lowered his head, resting his cheek on my chest. There was no way to conceal my heartbeat knocking around inside me because Seren Grayson just told me he loved me in the only way he knew how to.
CHAPTER 35
Grace
The seniors were called to the auditorium on the last day of school to watch a senior slideshow (I wasn’t in it), sign yearbooks (I didn’t buy one), and pick up graduation caps and gowns. Seren waited for me outside the gym.
“You made it,” he said as we began walking to the auditorium.
“Did I?”
“You’ve just gotta cross the stage this weekend and your time here will be over,” he assured me.
“It hasn’t been all bad,” I said, bumping him with my shoulder.
