“So, what does that mean for us?” Danny was still in the needing everything answered state of mind.

"Dominion will back off for a while anyway until they regroup with a new plan for taking over Cincinnati. It's not over, but we knocked them back, so we'll just have to wait and be vigilant." Parc answered and pulled Danny in for a hug and a kiss that could melt steel. "I'm just relieved that you are safe and secure and back in my arms, baby. I don't like you putting yourself at risk like this."

"It's my job, Parc, but I promise I will always be careful because you mean too much to me, and I will never make you worry unnecessarily." He smiled and pulled Parc down for another kiss. "So, how are we going to explain all of this to the authorities?"

"A cleanup crew will come in and make it like nothing ever happened here, just like we did at your rented house. As far as Sgt. Jeffers had some deep-seated emotional problems, and he simply disappeared. This isn't our first Rodeo, Danny. We've been covering and hiding our existence since the dawn of time." Cross said as they made their way out of the park and toward their cars hidden in the brush.

"Welcome to the Mercer Pack, Danny. We're glad to have you, and once you and Parc are settled, we will have an induction ceremony giving you the opportunity to meet everyone in the Pack." Cross began heading toward his vehicle and then turned back to address them one more time. "You're a lucky man Parc; take care of him." Parc nodded his agreement. Then Cross looked at Danny. "You're a lucky man, Atwater; take care of him."

"I will, sir. He is the love of my life." Danny looked up and Parc and was instantly pulled into a full-body hug.

"Go home, enjoy yourselves," Cross ordered, and it was definitely something they could both get behind.

"I love you, Danny. Will you move in with me? My apartment is bigger than your house, and I want you close by when you aren't working." Parc asked with just a touch of pleading in his tone.

"I love you too, Parc, very much, but you live above the Club; will your patrons be happy with a cop living upstairs?" He teased as Parc got him comfortable in the passenger seat of his SUV, buckling him in and kissing him senseless for a few minutes. Parc loved the playful side of his mate.

"It will make me happy, and that is all that matters." Parc shot back. "Is that a yes, I hear?"

"That is definitely a yes that you hear." Danny was smiling, and Parc ate it up as they drove out of the area on their way home, eager to start their new life together. Danny still had a lot to learn about the supernatural and all its facets and workings, but he was open and accepting, and that was all Parc could ask for. Besides, he accepted Parc and their new life and professed his love openly, so in Parc's eyes, nothing else really mattered because Danny had already made his life perfect.

“Let’s go home, baby.”

“Yeah, let’s go home.”

THE END
