He was a stunning young man, and Parc was eager to move a step closer to seeing him without the snug jeans. The body outlined beneath was just begging for his touch and attention.

Danny placed his free hand over Parcs. "I would like to pursue this and see if the connection I feel with you is real." Parc was smiling by the end of that sentence. His mate was not bashful and was also ready to push this relationship forward, which was a big relief.

"The connection is there. I felt it last night just as you did." Parc supported his statement. "Have you been to the Club before last night?"

“No, I had planned to check it out at some point but just never got around to it. I’ve only been in the city for eight months. I moved here from Toledo.” He already had this information, but it was nice to hear it from Danny’s lips.

“Do you like it here?” Parc wanted to keep him talking.

"Yes, it's a nice city overall, and now that I've met you, it's even better." Parc loved the way he flirted.

"Flirting will get you everywhere, Danny," Parc whispered and lifted Danny's hand to his lips, and placed a moist, provocative kiss on his knuckles. He felt the answering tremble that rushed through Danny and heard the soft moan that escaped his lips.

“I want to see you again.” Danny’s tone was excited and eager. "I'm off for two nights starting tomorrow. Perhaps we can get together."

"How about dinner at my place tomorrow night?" Parc spoke up, wanting to get something in place before they parted.

“Where do you live?”

"Third floor of Club Zephyr, come at seven, and I'll meet you at the back door. I'd like for you to see my place and get a feel for the Club. Your experience last night left a lot to be desired, and I'd like for you to meet some of my friends." Danny looked taken aback for a moment but then covered that reaction with a nice smile.

"I'd like to meet your friends. Do they work at the Club?"

"Yes, they're a good bunch of guys," Parc told him, and then it struck him that perhaps he was putting him in an awkward position. "This isn't against any protocol, is it? I know that your people are still investigating the accusations of that little twink, Victory Storm. He has made similar reports about the Underground Lounge and Club Disconnect. From what I understand, he's working for a business group called Dominion out of Columbus who are looking to move into the area, but you probably already know that."

"Victory Storm? Is that his real name?" Danny leaned closer over the table as if they were sharing secrets. Parc wanted to get this information into the hands of the police, and this was a perfect opportunity, and he trusted Danny.

“Yes.” Parc smiled.

“Our getting together does not violate any protocol since I’m not directly involved with the investigation. I was pulled in last minute because they were short-handed. I normally work the desk and take walk-ins and field calls." Parc heard the dissatisfaction very clearly in his tone.

"I'm glad they pulled you in; otherwise, we may not have met until you mustered up the courage to walk into the Club on your own." He laughed, and Danny nodded and shot him an embarrassed smile. Danny checked his watch and looked genuinely sad.

"I have to go in early for a meeting, so I'm going to have to leave you now." He got up and pushed in his chair, moving slowly and never taking his eyes off Parc.

“I’ll walk you to your car.” Parc was instantly by his side. When they reached his car, Danny turned around and stared up and Parc with such a wanton expression that he could not control himself. Parc wrapped him in his arms and bent to capture those plump red lips with his own. It was their first kiss and sent a shock wave of sensations roaring through him, leaving him slightly shaken by the experience.

Danny leaned his head against Parc’s chest for a few seconds before looking up at him again as Parc slowly took a step back. “That was amazing.” He spoke softly. “I look forward to our dinner tomorrow.”

"Be careful tonight, and I will see you tomorrow." Parc took another step back so Danny could get into his car. He watched as his mate slowly pulled away and drove out of sight. Parc just stood there for a few minutes, reliving the time they'd spent together and the things they'd talked about.

He was lost, lost in love with that beautiful man. Mates were powerful. Their draw was like a magical spell, and Parc thanked Fate for sending him such a gift for Danny Atwater was becoming everything he ever wanted.

They still had a way to go, and the long road to acceptance and claiming lay ahead of them, but Parc was hopeful that the journey would be smooth. Danny was a man who knew what he wanted and was willing to go after it, although Parc sensed a certain level of shyness within the man. Parc looked forward to pushing the edges of Danny's comfort and figuring out his limits.

Danny had his uniform in the back, having fully expected to stay with Parc till the last minute and not wanting to have to go home to change. He lived on the east side in a new development that was a fair distance from the coffee shop and work.

He liked it there, although it was a bit small and his neighbors were a bit close. Luckily, he had only signed a year lease rather than the two-year he'd been offered, so he would be able to move in the next four months. Perhaps Parc would help him choose a new location since he seemed to know the city quite well.

He was smiling when he entered the station, and all eyes seemed to follow him. Smiling on your way to work was not something that was seen very often. Thankfully no one questioned him on his good mood.

The meeting with Sergeant Jeffers was strange. He acted as if the raid had not been a raid but rather just a follow-up to a suspicious complaint. What does that even mean? To follow up on a suspicious complaint sounds like investigating the caller, not the target, and as far as he knew, no one investigated the caller. Jeffers was adamant in his claims, but he left everyone a little confused as to the focus and outcome of last night.

When the meeting ended, Jeffers walked over to Danny, who was heading for the door. "Wait." He called out, and Danny instantly stopped and turned around. "I want to speak with you, Atwater." He turned away and started walking back to the front of the room, so Danny followed.

“None of the people that you questioned last night indicated any wrongdoing.” He stated and waited for Danny to comment.

“No one saw anything to support the complaint.” He responded.
