“That is way too much information.”

“Oh, I can be in on your sexual activities, but with me, that’s where the line is drawn?”

Lisa frowned. “I haven’t said anything about sexual activities.”

“Do you think I’m unaware that you’ve had sex the way you’re spaced out and your skin is glowing?”

Lisa’s mouth dropped open as she gawked, embarrassed and surprised. A rush of heat swept unbidden through her body.

Her mother smiled. “It’s okay, sweetheart. Don’t worry. I don’t need the details; I just want you to be careful and thoughtful with yourself. That’s all a mother could ask for. I’m not judging you. Just glad you found someone who makes you happy.”

Lisa smiled shyly. “Me too.”

“Now, back to your dad’s invitation for dinner this Saturday. Are you in?”

Lisa sighed. She was still a bit apprehensive about her father’s agenda, but she forced a smile. “Sure. I’m in.”

“What do you say we get lunch after our workout? There’s a new restaurant downtown.”

“That place that serves the vegan burgers?”

“Yes! That’s it.”

“You’re serious about this new lifestyle habit, aren’t you?”

“I am. I’m only getting older, honey. If I want to stay healthy and be in the best shape, I’ve got to work three times as hard as I did in my youth.”

Lisa smiled and nodded. “You’re right. I could use a few healthier habits myself.”

“Sounds like a plan.” Mrs. Sharpton increased the speed of her treadmill, and Lisa followed suit.

Despite being caught up in thoughts about Langston, she was still determined to get fit and healthy, hoping to have her energy renewed for when she did see him again.

Lord knows she could use it. Langston was a sex machine, and she had a feeling as wild as their time was together, he’d taken it easy on her.

What would he show her if she didn’t run? If she let him do everything his body desired with her body?

A shiver slipped through Lisa. He would murder her if she kept this up, and somehow, she didn’t mind it one bit.

Lisa

I’ve got an idea.

Lisa sent the message to Langston and waited for a response. A few minutes passed, and when she thought he might be busy, a text came through.

Call me and tell me all about it.

She dialed him while biting her bottom lip, hoping he would respond in earnest. Placing the phone to her ear, Lisa glanced at her face in the bathroom mirror as it rang.

“Good afternoon, Lisa. I was just thinking about you.”

A shiver coursed down her spine as Langston’s deep, velvety voice cruised through the line. She closed the bathroom door behind her, leaned against it, and took a deep breath.

“Were you? Hmmm, that’s nice to hear,” she whispered, trying to compose herself. “I was just wondering if you’re busy tonight.”

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before Langston spoke. “I’m always busy, but that won’t stop me from seeing you if you want to be seen.”
