At the door,Langston banged his knuckle against it twice, and an opening slid open.

“Password,” the masculine voice behind the steel door said.

“Mi amour.”

Lisa’s eyes widened, and he winked.

The door opened to a narrow hallway that sloped down and opened up to a small cozy room with a low ceiling, dimly lit with chandeliers. On the left side of the room, a live band was playing soft jazz music. On the right was the transparent film screen, providing a view of a couple behind it.

Langston guided Lisa to a seat next to him, and a server approached.

“Would you like something to drink or eat? We never got to eat our food at the Horseshoe.”

“I was hungry then. Now I’m too curious to eat anything other than you.”

Langston’s dick jerked, and he smirked. “Remember what happened the last time you talked to me like that?”

The server waited with a blush on her face.

“Something to drink is fine. A margarita of any kind.”

Langston’s gaze dropped to her mouth, then slowly toward the server. “A lime tequila margarita for the lady. Brandy for me.”

The server nodded, and before she could leave, Langston called her back.

“Oh, a tray of chocolates and a rose...formi amour.”

The server smiled and nodded, leaving them alone.

“I’m in awe,”Lisa said, her voice low. “I’ve never seen anything like this before.”

“That’s the point,” Langston said, his voice a low rumble. “To experience things we consider out of bounds. Things that are forbidden and a bit taboo.”

“Like public sex?”

He laughed, low and without judgment.

“You play an excellent game. I know who I’ll need on my side for friend and family activities—” she backtracked. “I mean, if we’re ever in a situation like that. Not that we will be or we have to be.”

Nervously, she laughed, and Langston’s gaze perused her face and settled on her lips. “I know what you mean, and I’d be honored to be your partner.”

“Would you?”

“Under one condition.”

“Another condition.”

Langston laughed. “My last condition was a good one, yeah?”

“God, yes.”

His guffaw was so heavy Lisa felt the vibration roll from his fingers onto her hands. She shivered in response.

“Only...” his eyes connected with hers, “…if you promise I’m the only partner you’ll ever choose for any adventure.”
