“How about you come over and watch me put this baby together?”

“An invitation? I thought you’d never ask. I’ll be there in twenty minutes.”

Langston arrivedat Lisa’s apartment twenty minutes later with a big smile stretching across his handsome features. Lisa opened the door and welcomed him with a warm hug.

“Come on in,” she said, leading him into her cozy living room. He eased inside and embraced her again, and for a long moment, they just stared at each other.

“This should be fun.” Lisa twirled, and Langston followed her to the kitchen, his eyes wandering over her curves in tight jeans and a loose, off-shoulder top. Lisa had always been a sight to behold, with her long black hair, full lips, and sparkling eyes.

“So, where do we start?” Langston asked, looking around the kitchen.

Lisa pointed to the counter, where she had already laid out the ingredients for the cake. Humming a tune under her breath, she sifted through the flour. She had always loved the art of baking, the way the ingredients came together to create something delicious and beautiful. And with Langston by her side, it was even better.

He leaned against the kitchen counter, watching her with appreciation in his gaze as she whipped up the frosting. “You know, I never would have guessed you were such a talented baker.”

Lisa grinned. “It’s a hidden talent. I don’t use it much.”

“Why not?” He reached over and grabbed a spoonful of batter, licking it off his finger. “Mmm, this is amazing.”

Lisa giggled and swatted his hand away playfully. “Save some for the cake, Langston.”

He chuckled and leaned closer to her, his breath hot on her ear. “Can’t resist you, Lisa.”

She felt a shiver run down her spine and turned to face him, their bodies only inches apart. “And I can’t resist you either, Langston.”

Their lips met in a gentle kiss, but it quickly grew heated as their tongues tangled together. Langston’s hands wandered over her body, pushing her against the counter and lifting her up as he deepened the kiss. Lisa moaned, her hands fisting in his collar as they sucked each other’s tongues.

“Shit. I knew I shouldn’t have come.”

“Don’t say that.”

“I only mean because I can’t keep my hands off you.”

Lisa smiled and caressed his cheek. “I don’t mind—I like it when you touch me.”

Langston smiled and leaned in for another kiss. “Then let me touch you.”

He kissed her again, his hands exploring her body as they savored each other. Lisa’s heart beat faster as his touch sent sparks of pleasure racing through her.

Finally, they separated, and Lisa smiled shyly up at him. “We probably shouldn’t do that again while I’m baking a cake.”

Langston chuckled and kissed her forehead. “No, probably not.” He gave her a long, lingering look, then helped her off the counter, her body sliding against him, elevating their libidos even more.

“Okay. I’m going to stand here and admire you,” he said.

Lisa smiled and set to work on her cake, her cheeks still warm from their kiss. She hummed as she mixed, and Langston stood back, watching her with a warring mix of admiration and desire.

After a few minutes, he came to stand next to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. Lisa leaned into him, her heart filled with warmth and contentment. He kissed her forehead and murmured, “You’re so beautiful.”

She sighed and rested her head against his chest, basking in his warmth. Together, they finished mixing the ingredients, and Lisa smiled to herself. It seemed like baking with Langston would be her new high—if all the affection and caressing remained in play.

“Now we wait for it to bake.”

Langston nuzzled the back of her neck, his fingers tracing shapes across her abdomen. “We have some time to kill,” he whispered, his voice low and seductive.

Lisa turned in his arms and met his gaze, her heart thrumming with anticipation. “What do you suggest we do?”
