Paisley snorts. “Honey, you and Nash will never get married if you keep fussing over the details like you are.”

“You could always go to the courthouse like we did if it’s too overwhelming, Bri?” Zoey states.

Brianna raises her brow. “Thatwouldsolve all our issues.”

Nash laughs. “Little bee, if I thought you’d be satisfied with a courthouse wedding, we would have done that eight months ago. I know you need a big day and for it to be perfect. And I know it will be. Maybe you’ve got to bite the bullet and let Cam help you plan it. He knows your style better than anyone. He worked alongside you for years, building your business.”

Brianna nods. “Yeah, you’re right. I should call Cam. I will… tomorrow.”

“Finally!” Paisley states what we’re all thinking.

“Enough about me, Dane. What’s happening with you?” Brianna tries to pass the buck.

Dane widens his eyes and shakes his head. “I fucked a chick while piloting my helicopter to—”

“Dane, there are children present!” Tahlee snaps at him, smacking him upside the head.

He scowls. “What? Like you expect me to be any different? All right Miss Prim and Proper, what is happening inyourexciting life?”

Tahlee shrugs. “Well, my staff has said that the restaurant needs to be more trendy, especially with the festive season coming up… so we’re trying some theme nights.”

I nod, liking this idea. “So, like Cajun one night, Mexican the next, kind of thing?” I ask.

Tahlee tilts her head. “Ahhh… not quite. My socials expert says the latest ‘in’ thing is to do blindfolded blind dating dinner sessions.”

We all stare at her with slow smiles crossing our faces. “So let me get this straight, customers come in to do blind dating, literally blind while eating?”

Tahlee shrugs. “I think you’ve got the gist of it.”

“There are so many ways in which that can go wrong. I want to come and watch,” Dane mocks.

Cleo and Zoey scoff at him.

“I think that sounds amazing. It takes all the first impression judgment out of it, and you have to go on connection alone. I think it’s a great idea, Tahlee,” Zoey states.

Cleo widens her eyes, bouncing on her toes in her excitement. “You should do it, Tahlee!”

Tahlee nods. “Oh yeah, I am. The restaurant has already set the night and started the social media campaign—”

“No, I mean you should sit in and have a blind date. How long has it been since you let loose and had some fun?”

Tahlee gawks at Cleo. “I am having fun…tonight!”

“With a bunch of couples and your friends from college, you’re never gonna get laid if you don’t venture out and do something for yourself other than work and hanging out with us,” Cleo tells her.

Tahlee huffs. “Again, there are children present.”

Zoey waves her hand through the air. “Hailee’s playing with her iPad and not hearing a word we’re saying right now. Tahlee, in the past few months that I have known you, all I have seen is you working super hard and having no time for yourself. I think Cleo is right. So take the night for yourself and have some fun!”

Tahlee groans. “Dane, back me up here. Out of everyone, you think this is stupid, right?”

Dane lets out a laugh. “Tahlee, babe, out of everyone, you’re asking me if I think you should unwind and get yourself some cock? You don’t know me at all, do you?”

“Ugh, Nash, tell these idiots that they’re idiots.” She smirks.

Nash rolls his shoulders. “Look… you know I’m your biggest supporter and will always fight for you, Tahlee, so I’m going to say what I think you need right now is a night of fun. You work so hard. That restaurant is your life. And you’ll still be there if they need you. So you don’t even have to think of it as a night off if you don’t want to. Just think of it as seeing the experience from your customers’ point of view. Making sure what you’re selling is up to scratch. Call it market research!”

Tahlee narrows her eyes on Nash. “Did you just sales pitch me?”
