With a huge smile, I snuggled into his body more. He was deep asleep. He liked his sleep but was not always able to get it. When I craned my neck to see his face better, I realized that he looked so at ease. I didn’t remember a time when I saw him sleep this peacefully.

He was tired from all the work, even though he acted like he was not subject to that. For the first time in a while, he was not worried. He was just on vacation. He was calm.

I couldn’t help but smile at his pretty face. I wanted to touch my fingers to his features, but I was afraid of waking him up. He needed to get his sleep as much as he wanted.

Actually, I was also planning to fall back to sleep, but I felt the bed dip behind me, and then Apollo licked my face. I got him inside our room before we fell asleep because he was a little anxious at the new house. Everybody saw him as a vicious beast, but he was actually a little awkward, shy baby.

And right now, he needed to go out to pee. I was away from the clock, but it was probably our usual running time.

Every day the three of us went running. Antonio was probably running slower, for my sake. I was not the most athletic person, but I always liked running with dogs. I was never really fast, but I was playful. It was the reason Dario kept missing me. He was definitely faster than me, but he didn’t know how to hide very well.

I stupidly smiled at myself and got up from the bed. I very quietly used the bathroom and then wore cycling shorts with a tank top. It was my usual running outfit paired with a high ponytail. It was a very simple look, but since everything stuck to my skin tightly, Antonio always gave me hungry eyes when I wore these. He truly adored my body.

I was always confident about my body despite all the mocking I got growing up. I actually never cared for the whale jokes. I liked my figure, and I thought everyone who didn’t like it was tasteless. Their words never hit me. Yet it was still nice to have a husband who looked at me like he wanted to eat me every time I displayed my body. It was the greatest confidence boost.

My eyes went to Antonio, and I couldn’t help myself. I leaned over him and pressed the softest kiss on his cheek.

He didn’t wake, but he stirred a bit, murmuring, “Priscilla?”

I mean, of course, me. Who else could dare to kiss him? I would have killed them.

I pushed all the violent thoughts aside and whispered, “I am taking Apollo outside.”

Antonio nodded, still half asleep.

Then I just got out of the room with Apollo. I was expecting everybody to be asleep since it was very early, but when I made my way downstairs, I heard voices from the living room. When I went to look, I saw Alessio half asleep like his brother with a wide-awake Clara on his lap. She was watching a kids' show on the television.

“Hey,” I said.

They both looked at me. Clara answered, “Hey,” and quickly turned back to her show. She seemed too entertained by the TV.

Alessio looked at me like I was crazy. “Why are you awake at this hour?”

I pointed the Apollo, who already has his leash on. “Same as you. Baby duty.”

“I am not a baby!” Clara said without leaving her eyes from the TV. I was actually impressed that she was able to both listen to the show and us. Was that a smart trait for the kids her age? I had no idea, but it must be.

Alessio kissed her head. “Yes, Princess, you are a big girl. Auntie Priscilla spoke very wrong.”

“Yes!” she answered.

I giggled and informed them, “I am going for a run,” before I put on my earbuds. However, I was not sure if Alessio heard me. He looked very sleep-deprived. Maybe he was busy until this hour and then had to sit with his daughter. I laughed at the thought and made a mental note to tease Bella about it.

Since we wanted privacy, there were no bodyguards on our trip. The men were very capable of protecting us anyway. Also, it meant no one to talk my head off as I left the property for a run.

I didn’t know if it was possible to run around the lake, but there was a good chance of there being fences. I would ask Antonio today, but I didn’t want to risk it for this morning. We were surrounded by woods anyway. I could just run along the road in the woods. It would be a good run with a lot of fresh air. Apollo would like it too.

So, I went to the main gate and used the code Antonio made me remember “just in case” and left the property. I was just going to run a little and let Apollo do his business in the woods. It was a nice plan.

The second I closed the gates behind me, Apollo started running, and I laughed at his enthusiasm. He was anxious about a new house, but he was eager to explore the woods. Amazing.

I tried to fit his pace even though he was very fast. Only when the trees were not so dense, he slowed down. It was a good indicator that he was ready to pee or poo. I didn’t want him to do it on the road. I softly pulled his leash, so he looked back at me.

I signed “go” with my hand and then pointed to the woods. Getting a little inside was a good idea. After he was done, we could have just gone back to the house and have anamazingbreakfast. Damn, Antonio was probably going to cook it. I loved everything he cooked.

Even though he didn’t believe it, he was also perfect. Perfect for me.

When Apollo was busy sniffing the flowers and grass, I was busy daydreaming about my husband. Since my dog was looking for a good spot to pee, it was not the most romantic setting, but I couldn’t help it.
