The child looks so beautiful. It was easy to feel ugly beside such a beautiful soul because I felt so. She is so angelic. I love her so much. I never knew I could love a human being that way, but I did.

We gave her the name Emily. It was the name of one of my old beautiful friends who had passed away. They looked alike in a lot of ways, including beauty.

Emily is so cute and Will took an instant liking to her. He protected her more than I ever could, and Jonah seemed very proud of them both.

"My family is coming to see you tomorrow. They want to see you and the child," Jonah painfully announced to me that night. He was happy to know they were coming to see his child. He seemed a very proud father and it was pleasant to be the mother of his child.

They arrived early the next morning. I wondered why they liked coming to see us so early. Punctuality seemed a very notable trait in Jonah's family.

Andy was so jovial when he arrived. He rocked Emily and played softly with her. I didn't take my eyes off her for a second as I did not trust them.

"What a beautiful girl she is!"

"She's so adorable!"

"Look at her eyes!"

The voices kept floating in and around my head.

They thought Emily is very beautiful. They all seemed to have taken a liking for her, and that was refreshing to see. The truth is that Emily is such a beauty to behold. There was not a single soul that saw her and didn't agree that she is indeed pretty.

"This Union is blessed!" Andy shouted. He was in such a good mood and the others complimented him perfectly.

With time, they all stopped complaining or opposing the relationship between me and Jonah. They sooner agreed that we would work together after seeing our child, and I laughed that they even felt that way after everything.

Will played with Emily the most out of everyone. As beautiful as she was, Emily is not as friendly as everyone thought she would be. Anytime someone else apart from him or me touched Emily, she was more likely to cry than not.

The synergy between them was so perfect that I began to feel as if Emily was already taking some of Will's behavior. Funny enough, I was in support of that. Will is such a wonderful child to Jonah and it was only right if we got a female version of him.

Soon, everyone accepted our union fully. Jonah's father, who was outside the country, called us and gave us a fulfilling speech to show his approval. It was all coming together perfectly, and I love it. What a difference one year could make.

The whispers stopped. Jonah stopped having to explain to everyone why I was perfect for him and I did the same thing. I was different anyway. I hardly gave any audience to haters even before putting them to bed.

I started to make plans with Jonah. Since we had a child, I was bent on getting married to him as soon as possible. I love him. I simply could not visualize myself not being with him for the rest of my life.

The plans started to make some headway at some point. Jonah and his family are fully in support of getting married to each other. They could not wait.

"In our family, it is not very honorable to have kids outside wedlock. That's another reason we have to get married soon," Jonah explained to me one day.

It was nice to see myself deflated slowly to my usual self. Ever since I felt strong enough, I started watching my weight to make sure I got back to my usual stature.

But every single day, the marriage clung to my mind. I could not picture life without him, Will, and my child anymore. Sometimes, it truly felt like we were already married.

It was mind-blowing to see that everything was finally going as planned. It could have gone otherwise, in all honesty. Jonah's father planned to be there at our wedding in attendance. For a man who seems so busy and career driven, he is doing a lot to make it up to us. After all, he had been absent the whole time.

Will fed Emily at every opportunity she got. Although, she sucked my breasts most times, Will still managed to get her to eat normal baby food sometimes. He was saying that Emily was getting too pampered sometimes and I agreed.

He genuinely loves his sister, even though she was his half-sister. After Will resumed back to school, he had less time for Emily, but he would rush back home to check on her after school.

It made Will a little bit soft. He was more invested in basketball and hanging out with his friends before, but ever since Emily arrived in our lives, he became different.

Emily is such a calming soul. It was incredible that her arrival changed so much in our lives. Maybe she was the final piece to the puzzle and a very beautiful piece at that.

Will still play basketball sometimes. He joined a new team and instantly became one of their best players. He would not tell me all of that, but Jonah did. Somehow, Jonah always managed to get info, and I knew it was because he was his son.

A day came when Will's team reached the finals of inter-community basketball competition. It was a grand one, and Jonah convinced me to attend it with Will. Granted, I would do anything for Will, but I wished he would invite me at least once to show that he wanted me to be there, but he didn't.

We arrived at the venue looking sleek in the family way. Emily was slightly more mature so she seemed to be getting to grips with things in the world. I knew it was only a matter of little time before she became something else.
