I blink my eyes open,sunlight streaming into the room, casting a glow over everything. Clothes are scattered like breadcrumbs on the carpet, ending at Esme’s crumpled dress, her boots beside it. My gaze travels to the bed, where she lies next to me, golden hair fanned out, soft curves rising and falling with each breath.
I have no idea what came over me last night. One second, I was watching Esme disappear into her room. The next, I had my hand on the door. The next, I was kissing her.
And the next, I wasmorethan kissing her.
In the light of day, I should regret my actions a little more. Should extricate myself from her, tell her this can’t happen again and go on with my life. But as I pull her closer and pepper soft kisses to her shoulder blades, I can’t seem to muster the will to worry about the potential ramifications. Not yet. Not when I still have her, regardless of how fleeting it may be.
Inhaling a deep breath, I smooth a hand down her stomach, my already throbbing erection hardening even more.
“I can’t believe you’re ready to go again,” she says, her voice lazy with sleep.
Or lack thereof.

She cups my face, running the pad of her thumb along my cheek. “I do.”
“Good.” I lower my lips back to hers. “Because I’m about to fuck you like I don’t.”
Before she has a chance to react, I flip her onto her stomach and yank her onto her knees. Covering her body with mine, I slide my hands down her arms, linking my fingers with hers. I inhale her scent again, wanting to douse myself in it for eternity. When I nibble on her earlobe, she moans, squirming against me.
“This is going to be hard and fast. Okay?”
“Yes.”
“Good.” I straighten and bring my erection up to her.
But as hungry as I am to lose myself in her, I don’t thrust inside her. Not yet. Instead, I take a minute to appreciate how damn amazing she looks as she waits for me. Smooth skin. Full breasts. Hair cascading over her shoulders. And right now, she’s all mine.
