“Einstein.” Before he busted a gasket trying to solve it, I gave him the answer.

“Tell Kleu I said hello,” Aeir called out to Lawe, who was almost out of the kitchen.

He stopped in his tracks and faced us again.

“She don’t fucking know you,” he taunted. “Respectfully.”

Instead of dishing out another warning, I simply shook my head. I knew Aeir could handle her own and I also knew Lawe meant no harm. He was just an ignorant motherfucker and there wasn’t any changing it—only adapting.

“Aside from Brandon, you’re not very good at keeping secrets. In fact, I don’t think you’ve ever kept another secret in your entire life. You’ll find a way to explain it to her, even with all your dramatics. And when you finally get it all out, tell her I said hello.”

“Come on, Milo. Malachi, good luck. You and Matilda.”

“Matilda,” Aeir whispered, falling into the same trap he’d set for Milo minutes earlier.

“He’s missing a few screws. Don’t puzzle your brain with his insanity.”

We watched as the two of them exited the kitchen, went through the dining room, and eventually disappeared. Hearing the door close behind them let us know they had departed. Contentment washed over me.

“Worry me.”

I looked up to find Aeir on her way over to me.

“I’m fine, baby.”

“Promise?” she probed.

“I promise. Tell me something good,” I countered her request.

“I placed a large order for my business. It’ll be here in the next ten working days.”

I nodded, smiling from ear to ear. Hearing Aeir had taken the leap of faith and I’d been able to invest in her future felt splendid. I pulled her into me, pressing her body against mine.

“I’m very happy for you. Whatever I can do, whatever you need… I got you.”

“I’d love your input on colors and packaging. Something sustainable suits me well.”

“Can this be obtained over dinner?”

“I’d like that very much.”

“Have a seat and I’ll prepare your plate.”

“Alright. I need to get cleaned up first.”

“I’ll be right here when you get back.”

“Do you happen to have a laptop we can use? Otherwise, I’ll need to grab my computer from my place.”

“I have one, Aeir. Just wash up and relax. I’ll handle the rest.”

Kissing her lips, I pushed her hair off her face and behind her ear. I wanted to see every inch of her beauty up close and personal.

“Okay.”

She separated us, but not before pecking me on the cheek and then on the lips. My eyes were glued to her body as she swayed into the dining room. It was her second day in the house with me and I couldn’t seem to keep my hands, lips, or dick to myself. She did things to me I never wanted her to stop doing. She said things to me I never wanted to stop hearing.

I was hooked. To deny it would be a lie. Giving into Aeir was the best decision I’d made in the last two years. She showed me each and every hour of the day that I wouldn’t regret it; not now and not for the rest of my lifetime.
