There, next to Persephone’s throne, was another throne fit for the God of rebirth. At the top, where all their symbols were carved to indicate whose it belonged to, was the winged serpent.

Devon moved to it and ran his hands over the marbled serpent. He looked to Persephone, the memory of their soulbond glittering in his eyes.

“A winged serpent. How fitting. A tattoo and now a throne.” Hera waved her hand with a mocking bow. “After you, God of things that hump in the night.”

Persephone watched Devon give Hera the side eye before he moved to the marbled seat of power.

Golden velvet cushions appeared as he sat, and the throne lit a bright, brilliant green before the light slowly faded away, leaving only a crown of green fire above his head.

He was no longer in just sweatpants and a shirt, but a forest green button down and slacks.

Devon looked down at himself then up at Persephone with a lopsided grin. His eyes shone in amazement as he took in everything around him.

The crown of fire subsided, leaving a laurel crown much like the ones her and her sisters wore. He reached up as he pulled it from his head to look at it.

“Holy...” he started to speak before Hera cut him off.

“None of that here, brother. This is sacred ground.” Hera gave him a serious look as he sat up a bit straighter.

“Ignore her. Hera has said words that could raise the dead when in a temper. Even here.” Amphitrite muttered.

Amphitrite shot Persephone a look of exasperation and Persephone rolled her eyes in response.

Hera clapped her hands together. “Good, good. A fourth God has been installed at Olympus, let us proceed.”

The three Goddesses moved to their thrones and as they sat down, their appearances all changed.

For Hera, her crown of white fire glowed above her head before it turned to a crown such as the one Devon wore, only hers was a brighter gold with a diamond inlay set into the leaves. A long white dress formed down her body, one shoulder bare. There were golden flecks around the bodice and a golden belt. Her throne sat in the middle of the others, and as she was the Queen of the Goddesses, hers was elevated slightly higher with her signature thunderbolt carved into the headrest.

Amphitrite was beside her, in a long stunning aqua dress that looked like water running down her body. Her hair fell in long auburn waves to her waist. The aqua crown of fire turning to a crown of sea glass, and her throne was engraved with the trident.

Persephone was seated between Hera and Devon. Her robe morphed into a long black silk dress with a silver belt, long slits up the sides where her long legs were on view. A pomegranate necklace was on display along with her exposed shoulders, the straps draped in the style of the ancient Greeks. Smoke came up around her, making a crown above her head that ignited into blue fire when she sat on her throne, a crown made of sapphire replacing it. Her throne was carved with a pomegranate surrounded by Narcissus flowers.

All the symbols engraved on the thrones were encircled with laurel wreaths, and even though everything was made of marble, the thrones were not uncomfortable as one would think due to the golden velvet cushions.

For each throne there was a sash across the back of it in the color that represented their realm, same as their dresses. No one was allowed to sit in the throne but the Goddess, or God, themselves.

To do so would mean the sash would restrain that person until the throne’s owner came to dispose of them.

Torches of fire were on every pillar, though light was hardly needed with how bright it was here, being so high up on Olympus. High enough up, clouds moved around their feet as they walked, throwing up plumes like smoke.

Persephone watched Devon take in the pristine white columns encircling them. The thrones surrounded a marble floor where other deities brought forth issues or concerns for the Goddesses to hold court. On very extreme occasions, a human might be allowed to come before them, but they needed some power within their blood to withstand the level of energy here on Olympus.

“A Titan has decided to pick a side and made attempts on the Underworld,” Hera started. “Sadly, it is the wrong side in my opinion, but nonetheless, the only logical conclusion we can come to is the goal of getting Cronus out of Tartarus. Do we know of any others who’ve decided to throw rationale and sane thought to the wind and join him or her?” She turned to look at Devon.

“Nature boy, did you see any other power signatures down there? I’ve been made aware you can see such things,” she finished regally.

“Nature boy?” He arched an eyebrow but shook his head at her question.

Amphitrite’s eyes became completely aqua, the pupils and whites gone. “I do not feel any unnatural presence near the mortal seas, but something feels off at the gates, near the river Styx,” Amphitrite stated. She blinked and her eyes returned to normal.

Standing, Amphitrite made a large circle with her hands, and the center of the floor opened up, revealing a large rotating globe rising up from the darkness beneath. Lights flickered on it in areas of dense population.

“Is this our actual earth as it might look from space?” Devon asked in awe as he stared at it.

“Yes,” Persephone replied, “We can see anything happening anywhere in the world from here.”

As if to prove her point, Hera stood up and walked to the globe. As she put her hand up, the globe responded to an unspoken demand and moved to Halcyon. An image came out from it engulfing the room to where one might think they were walking among the crowds. People were moving through Hera as she stood before the globe, lost in thought.
