Reaper concludes church a few moments later after allowing me the chance to let Jamie’s words sink in. I stand and look at the Reaper. “I’ll get on this and see what else I can about this group.”

Nodding, Reaper meets my gaze. “I want this shit figured out soon. I don’t want anything else happening because of them,” he says and lets out a heavy breath. “We’ve got a meet with Dusan coming up, and we don’t need anything fuckin’ it up.”

“Nothing will fuck it up, I swear it.” I mean it. I’ll make sure of it myself if need be.

Leaving church, I make my way back to my room, ignoring the women calling for my attention. They always do this, and lately, it’s become annoying.

The moment I step into my room, I clench my teeth because I already know before I see the bed, Josephine is gone. I glance around the room out of habit, more than ready to punch something . . . or someone. I spot a slip of paper folded on the nightstand, and my gaze narrows on it. Pissed, I cross the room, pick the note up, and read the two simple words. ‘I’m sorry.’That’s it. All she had to say. She left after I told her I wanted her here.

Clenching the damn paper in my hand, I stalk back to the main room, straight out the door, and to my bike. I’m not about to play this game with her.

“She’s fuckin’ gone,” I snarl, entering the clubhouse an hour later. My eyes locked on Jamie, still sitting with several of my brothers.

Jamie locks eyes with me and cocks a brow. “You hit me, and I’m telling you, I will fuck you up.”

“I’d like to see you fuckin’ try. Now where the fuck is she?” My chest vibrates, the fury of not finding her at her house pissing me off. When I get my hands on that woman, she will feel my hand on that perk ass of hers for disobeying me and then taking off.

“What do you mean where is she?” Ivy asks, brows furrowing.

Jamie leans back in his chair and shakes his head. “She didn’t tell anyone about it,” he mutters, seeming to talk to himself and sighs, shaking his head.

“Didn’t tell anyone what?” Sutton demands before I can.

“That she’s competing this weekend,” Jamie announces and shares with all of us what Josephine is up to. “She’s heading down there tonight to get a spot and get rested up for tomorrow.”

“I’m going to kick her ass,” Ivy snaps, huffs, and narrows her gaze. “I can’t believe she didn’t tell us.”

“We’ve been kind of busy lately,” Everleigh suggests, placing her hand on her small, rounded stomach.

“Yeah, but we would have supported her,” Isabelle remarks.

“That’s just it. She didn’t want anyone there,” Jamie explains. “She seems to think if anyone’s there, she’ll fuck up.”

“You sound as if you’ve seen her compete before,” I comment, watching the other man.

“Of course, I have. I try to go to all of them. She just doesn’t know it. I video it for our parents and send it to them.” He shrugs. “She’s damn good. Always winning.”

“I wish we could go.” Sutton pouts.

“I know. I love the twins, and I don’t want to leave them.” Ivy sighs.

“Where’s the competition at?” I ask.

“Four hours south,” he says, naming the mud park as he stands. “I better get going.”

I grunt and ignore him while I make plans of my own as Beast speaks up.

“I have a suggestion that might make everyone happy.”

“What?” I cock a brow. “I’m going,” I announce like everyone didn’t already know this.

“I’m talking to the ol’ ladies.” Beast grunts and makes his suggestion about asking a couple of the girls that work for the club, who we all know are trustworthy, to come with. They could watch the kids while the ol’ ladies are out, and then afterward, the girls can go out to have some fun of their own. “You can even have the prospects with them as well for security.”

Ivy and the others look at each other then she turns her attention to Reaper. “What do you think?”

“Go pack, Precious,” Reaper tells her.
