“So tiny,” Jordan murmurs, his voice muffled. “I forget they’re ever that tiny.”

Glancing up, I see that even Mav and Atlas’ eyes are glassy.

“Congratulations, man,” Mav says, swallowing. “Damn, this is going to put a wrench in a few things, but I’m seriously happy for you.”

“No, no, that’s a conversation for next year,” Jordan says cheekily, as if that’s not tomorrow. “Tonight, we have a lot to celebrate.”

I hear Lavender and the girls coming down the stairs and grin. “I think we’re ready to get going. I can hear Lennon now,” I tell them.

Roark joins, throwing his arm around me as he looks at my phone. “So goddamn tiny,” he murmurs. “We’re going to be parents. I honestly didn’t think it would happen. Tour life doesn’t always lend itself to children.”

Jordan clears his throat. “So, I have a plan! I have a time booked out in your calendars, but we won’t talk about it until January fifth,” he proclaims and my lip twitches. The king has spoken, so that’s apparently that.

His attention shifts as he sees Lennon. “I love your hair,” he exclaims with a huge smile. “How are you doing?”

Lennon smiles, and it actually reaches her eyes. She seems to have released some of the stress that she was carrying, and I’m happy to see it. Orion has been twitchy since Christmas, even if he thinks he’s been hiding it.

I’m becoming better at reading him, or he’s less locked down around us. Orion is still a bit of an enigma to me, but he’s protective, and has definitely proved how committed he is to our family.

“I’m good,” Lennon promises. “The last few days have been rough, but I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.”

“Congratulations, mama,” Atlas grins, opening his arms for a hug.

“Lennon told me upstairs, and I may have screamed,” Layla says, blushing.

Mav snorts, looking fondly at Layla as Lennon is squeezed tightly by Atlas. “We all heard, baby. Are you excited to be an aunt?” he asks.

Layla’s eyes widen as she nods. “Fuck yeah I am!”

“On that note,” Jordan smirks as everyone hears us talking and comes to join us, “I think we’re ready to get our evening underway. We have a lot to celebrate.”

We take three cars to the club, and everyone is excited. I made sure Lennon grabbed a warm coat to wear over her gorgeous lavender fringe dress. Baby girl looks hot as fuck, but she’ll be miserable in this weather without it.

Lennon snuggles against me as she chats with Layla. They have a lot to talk about, and I don’t begrudge her a moment of their time. I hope we can figure out a way for them to see each other more, but I’ll trust Jordan has that figured out.

The Spinning Cloud doesn’t have a line like I would expect and Link shrugs. “Tonight is guest list only, and since it’s fucking freezing, Bear made sure no one would have to wait. So everyone showed their QR code at the door and went right in. He’s very efficient,” he explains.

I’m excited to meet the man who is making this process as smooth as it appears on a typically chaotic night. The building looks nondescript, outside of a bright blue door with a bouncer standing outside.

We parked across the street, and then walked in a group. Orion, Greg, and Derek watch carefully based on habit, but if this wasn’t safe, we wouldn’t have come at all. I think they’re just being extra careful, and I’m grateful for it.

“Hey, man, I have the invite for all of us,” Greg says, showing the bouncer the phone.

The bouncer scans the code and nods. “Have a great night, guys. There’s a coat check just as you enter for your convenience,” he says.

Layla and Lennon’s eyes widen as we walk into a club with black silk covering the walls, cage dancers, and men and women performing from the air in aerial silks. This club has great music as well, and while it’s filled with people, it’s not overly crowded.

We leave our coats and start to explore the club. While I’m not overly fond of clubs, I am glad to be out tonight with some of the most important people in my life.

Lennon

Layla and I link our fingers together as we look around. “Let’s grab some drinks,” Greg says, leading us towards the bar.

“I’ll grab you a water bottle?” Orion asks in my ear and I nod.

“Check it with Turner?” I ask, turning my head towards him. “I’ve been drugged before, so Turner is really careful about what I drink from.”

Orion nods, pressing a kiss to my temple. “I made the mistake of not telling you how beautiful you look. Remind me to correct that by apologizing on my knees,” he growls and I shiver.
