“We answer,” Reed finished before his lips smashed against mine.

Ihated waking her. She looked so peaceful lying there, snuggled up to my naked body, but the work day wasn’t over for me. I had an event to prepare for.

But she made it so damned hard to leave.

Her skin was as soft as I had imagined, her body warm against mine. Her hair so silky, I couldn’t stop running my hands through it as she slept.

I couldn’t see Sean unless I moved, and I wasn’t about to do that until I absolutely had to. His soft snores told me that he was sleeping too, not that I was surprised. I wanted nothing more than to curl up and fall asleep with Snow’s warm body next to mine. It had been a long time since I’d been with someone; I had thrown myself into my work for the last few years and didn’t have time for relationships.

My heart ached. I knew exactly why but it wasn’t something I was willing to admit to myself.

To pull myself from my own thoughts, I moved just enough to check the time on the bedside clock. A small groan escaped my lips as I realized I wasn’t going to have time for a shower. I would be late if I didn’t get a move on.

I tried to slip my arm from underneath Snow as gently as possible. I didn’t want to wake her, but unfortunately, her eyes opened up and stared right at me.

She looked confused for a second, as if unsure of where she was at, but then she smiled.

I smiled back as I watched the memories of our earlier moments come back to her. Her eyes grew wide and she sat up in the bed, looking behind her to see if Sean was still there.

He was.

He was also awake now too, rubbing at his sleepy eyes.

“Morning, ” Sean said with a yawn.

“It’s not morning,” I corrected him.

“Wow, I must have really been out,” Sean said.

“It’s almost time for my icebreaker at the club,” I replied. “Which means, sadly, I need to leave in a few minutes.”

Snow still said nothing, and I prayed that she didn’t regret what had happened between us. One reason we didn’t interact with the guests intimately was to avoid any ethical issues. We cared about our guests, and I cared about Snow. I wanted her to look back on her experience with us fondly.

She looked directly at me, as if reading my mind and feeling my concern.

“So that was real? It actually happened and wasn’t just a dream?” she asked, a mischievous grin pulling at the corners of her lips.

“It was real,” I answered.

“Wow,” she said, her eyes growing even wider than before. She let out a chuckle. “Like seriously, wow. I never thought I would ever do anything like that. That was amazing.”

Her last line flooded my body with relief and gave me the courage to reach out to her. Cupping her chin in my hands, I pressed my lips against hers, likely for the last time.

She opened her mouth to me, and for a second, I fell into the kiss, my body responding at simply being near her but I had places to be. And I couldn’t let things get too serious between us. She was a guest. We were there to show her a good time.

“Good, I’m glad. We do our best to give our guests the best service possible.”

Snow spoke against my lips, her eyes staring deep into mine. “Well if there’s a survey afterward, I’m going to rate you both ten out of five because… again, wow. That’s all I can say.”

“And your stay has only just begun,” Sean said from behind her.

Snow turned to look at him and the two shared a playful smile, hinting at even more fun to come.

As much as I would have loved to be part of that, I had to hit the road.
