I groaned when I heard the knocking again.

A smile pulled at my lips as I hopped from the comfiest bed I’d ever had the pleasure of sleeping in and rushed downstairs to see who was at the door. I was expecting maybe one or two of the guys, and I was excited to see who would be standing outside my cottage door. Never did I anticipate all seven of them would be standing there, each one with a rose in their hands.

“Oh my god, you guys…” I said, stepping out into the sunlight to greet them.

“We want to make your last day with us special,” Jason said as he handed me his rose. He kissed me on the cheek as he did so.

“I feel so special, like some kind of VIP,” I said.

“Because you are,” Reed replied, stepping up next with his rose. He also kissed me on the cheek.

“It’s almost as if I’m on an episode ofThe Bachelorettehere, with all the roses.” I chuckled as each guy stepped up to me with a rose and a kiss.

“We’ve given you a late checkout time,” Sean said. “So that you can spend the entire day here and have access to your cottage before heading back this evening.”

“We have a full day planned for you too,” Bash added.

“Starting with breakfast served directly to your room,” Jason piped in, motioning for some people to step around the corner. There were about six servers, all carrying trays into my cottage as Jason instructed them to set everything out on the back patio.

“We’ve all taken the day off to spend it with you,” said Doc.

“Even you, Anthony?” I shot him a teasing look.

“Even me,” he said with a smile.

“Wow, I have no words, you guys.”

“You don’t need to say anything,” Gage finally chimed in. He was near the back, his hands shoved in his pockets, but he smiled when I looked directly at him.

“You have a nice smile, Gage. I wish I could see it more,” I said.

“Come back to see us, and you’ll see it a lot more, I’m sure,” he replied.

“I will definitely be coming back.” I told him. I wasn’t sure when, but I would figure something out. I couldn’t stay with my dad’s company too much longer, and hopefully whatever came next would provide me with more freedom to take time off.

The guys led me to the back patio, and we surrounded the hot tub that I never got the chance to use. They had staff bring in extra chairs and tables, and while it was a bit tight, we were all able to fit back there. The view was stunning, surrounded by a canopy of trees and clean, mountain air.

The breakfast spread was pretty typical for the resort—scrambled eggs and toast, eggs benedict, bacon and sausage, and fresh tropical fruit. There was enough food for all of us to pile it high on our plates. And of course, mimosas, because why not start the day with champagne?

“Hey, there’s orange juice in it so it’s a breakfast food,” claimed Jason, and I wasn’t about to argue with him. I loved mimosas.

Once our plates were cleared staff took everything away, leaving us with full bellies and a little tipsy from all of the champagne.

“So are you ready for the next part of the surprise we have in store for you?” Bash asked with a coy smile.

“Were you behind all of this?” I thought back to our conversation the day before.

He shrugged. “Maybe a little. I suggested it, but we all came together on planning it.”

“It was definitely a group effort,” Reed said.

“Wait until you see what we have in store for you today; you’re going to love it. You will be able to experience everything we have to offer,” Sean said.

The “we” part… did he mean the resort, or something else? I hoped he meant both. The wink he gave me hinted that maybe I was onto something.

“I can’t wait,” I said.

Reed checked the time and stood up. “We should probably get going, our appointment time is in five minutes.”
