“Appointment for what?” I asked.

“Massages, of course. Your choice—hot stone, Swedish, deep tissue, whatever you want,” he said. “Followed by a dip in the hot tub or time in the sauna, or both... the spa is reserved just for us for the next few hours. The perks of being friends with the owners,” Reed added with a wink.

He took my hand, and I was surrounded by the seven guys as they escorted me out of the cottage and to the spa.

This must be what a part of Heaven is like.It had to be, I thought.

“Wow.”

“You’ve been saying that a lot today,” Jason chuckled.

I stretched my legs out on the chaise lounge, fully relaxed after an afternoon that was too good to even put into words. A hot stone massage followed by time in the sauna, then a dip in the hot tub before going to a gourmet lunch where I had some of the freshest seafood of my life. I didn’t even realize it was possible to get something that fresh in the mountains, but Jason said he knew a guy and he had it shipped in from the coast that very morning.

We headed to Reed’s cottage after lunch though calling it a cottage was an understatement since it was nothing like the one I was staying in. His ‘cottage’ was more like a mansion with its own private pool, which I’d dipped my toes in for a bit before collapsing on the outdoor furniture on his giant patio overlooking the valley below.

Jason came out of the house with a tray of brightly colored drinks, each one with a tiny umbrella in it. He stopped next to me first.

“I have to leave soon,” I said, wondering if I should really start drinking before catching the bus that would take me down the mountain, where I had left my car days before.

“You’re not driving for a while yet,” Jason said.

“I have to catch the bus in an hour—”

“We’ll drive you,” Sean interjected.

I sat up and looked at him. “Really?”

“Yes, so you can stay as late as you want,” he said.

I felt a smile pulling at my lips. “I would love to stay a bit longer.”

“We want you to stay as long as possible, if you couldn’t already tell.” Jason said again motioning for me to pick up a drink.

“Alright, just one though,” I said. I took the drink and sipped it. Notes of blueberry and lemon hit my tongue, with very little taste of alcohol, if any. “This is dangerous…. It’s going to be hard to have only one.”

Jason winked at me. “Well if you’d like a personal chauffeur home, I’m sure that could be arranged too.”

“No way, it’s still another three hours home after we get down the mountain,” I said. “And then you’d have to drive back. It’s fine, really. It would be senseless for you guys to do all of that driving.”

“Not senseless to us,” Jason replied before placing the tray on the table nearby for the others. He grabbed a drink and plopped down on the chaise near my feet. “We’d get to spend more time with you.”

“I’m grateful for the offer, but I think it will be better if I just drive myself.”

As much as I wanted to spend more time with them, with all of them, it felt like delaying the inevitable and I needed to pull off the band-aid. I couldn’t get too used to spending time with them, since it was unlikely we’d see each other that often after I left. I planned to go back, but it wasn’t like we could date. Me, with seven men? Yeah, that didn’t sound feasible at all and there was no way I could choose.

I sipped my drink and we watched the sunset over the valley together, mostly in silence while Jason massaged my feet.

I knew my time there was coming to an end, that I would need to get ready to leave soon.

But before I could make any move toward doing so, the guys shared a devious smile with each other.

All afternoon we had been flirting and playfully touching one another; gentle brushes of their hands here and there against my body. Just teasing, nothing more. I was a little sad that I might not get another chance at more fun with them, but I wasn’t sure that being with all seven men at once was even possible.

However, as they shared a look, the fire inside of me ignited and I sat up on the chaise.

“What’s going on? What’s that look about?”
