I fuck her hard and fast. I grip her hips in my hands, no doubt leaving marks on her perfect flesh as I take her against the counter. She cries out with each thrust, making me wonder if I’m hurting her. Then again, do I care at the moment? I should, but I don’t. I don’t feel a damn thing right now, but her pussy milking my cock.

I keep going. Harder and harder until I feel my balls draw up, and then I let go. I come inside her, my seed filling her. When I’m done, I pull out and grab my slacks, pulling them back on before walking back around to the stool I’d been sitting on. I drop back down, pour another glass, and take it down before refilling it again.

“You’ve drunk a lot tonight,” she says, nodding toward the bottle.

“So what?”

“What’s wrong, Luka?”

“Everything is wrong, Delaney. Everything!” I roar.

“If you won’t talk to me, I’m going to bed.”

“No, you’re not.”

“Yes, I am. I’m not staying out here, so you can use me and toss me to the side again,” she argues. I watch her walk away, thinking it’s fine in my drunken mind. But it’s not. She’s right. I used her, and I shouldn’t have. Delaney means more to me than that.

“Fuck!” I growl as I shove the glass away from me. I stand from the stool and walk down the hall and up the steps to our bedroom. I find Delaney sitting on the edge of the bed with her head in her hands.

“Mi dispiace,” I tell her. “I’m sorry, Delaney.” She lifts her head, and I see the tears in her eyes while I run my hand through my hair. “I got some news I wasn’t expecting.”

“About what?”

“My father.”

“What about him?” she asks, sounding anxious.

“He isn’t my father,” I tell her the words told me. I can’t believe it. I still can’t believe it.

“What do you mean?”

“He said he isn’t my father. My mother was left for dead because she cheated on him.” I look up at her and see the shock and surprise in her eyes.

“Who is your father?”

“Margetti is.”

“What?”

“Margetti is my father,” I tell her. She shakes her head as I look at her. What does she mean no?

“Margetti can’t have children, Luka.”

“How do you know that?” I ask, wondering how she could possibly know that.

“My dad hates him. Wants nothing to do with him, but they’ve had dealings in the past,” she says. “Things came up, and the fact that he couldn’t have children was one of them.”

“That doesn’t make sense,” I tell her.

“I don’t know what to say here. I know what I’ve heard.” I nod my head, rubbing at the scruff on my jaw. Nothing makes sense to me right now, and that pisses me off.

“I’m sorry, Luka. I honestly don’t know why he would tell you that,” she says softly.

“To throw me off. To make me weak.”

“But why?”

“So he can attack. He has a plan.”
