“You don’t want me to?”

“Oh, I want you to. I want you to fuck me hard and fast,” I assure him.

“Good. That’s the plan,” Cross says.

“What made you guys buy this place?” I ask.

“Demon thought it would be nice to have somewhere to take a break.”

“It truly is.” We both step out of the shower, and Cross passes me a towel. I wrap it around myself before walking to the bedroom to find my bag. I unzip it, and Cross yanks my towel from my body. I yelp and spin around to face him when he smiles at me.

“You don’t need that when I’m around.”

“You’re kidding me? You want me to walk around here naked?”

“Would you?” I smile and turn around to face him before heading toward the door. Pulling it open, I step out into the hallway as Griz walks past. He stops and does a double take, looking me over before groaning low in his throat.

“Get the fuck back in here,” Cross calls out to me. With a shit-eating grin, I turn around and stroll back into the room. Before I have the chance to do anything further, he spins me around and slaps my ass roughly.

“Fuck, I like it when you do that,” I tell him. Another hard slap, and I’m practically dripping wet for him.

“You do?” His hand massages over the heated skin on my ass where he just hit me.

“Yeah, I do.”

Chapter Five

Cross

The beach house is nice. I love it out here, but I love it more now that she’s here. I don’t know what I’m doing with this girl or why I want her around as much as I do. I shake my head, ignoring the thoughts I have running through my mind. Instead of thinking about it, I look out at the water as Rage comes to sit next to me on the sand. I see Badger with their little girl out in the water, where she laughs and smiles.

“She’s happy,” I tell him, nodding toward the two of them.

“She is. I wish her mom were here to see it,” he says.

“I bet that’s hard as hell.” He blows out a breath and nods his head.

“It is. I fuckin’ miss her, brother. I didn’t think I could miss someone as much as I do her.”

“I’m sorry. I don’t even know what to say about that.”

“There’s nothin’ to say. What happened, happened. It just makes you realize you gotta hold onto what you have when you can.” His words make me think about Cara and Raven. They make me wonder what I should be doing. Should I hold onto Cara or call it all off? Do I go after Raven? She already said she didn’t want a relationship, but that’s exactly what I’m looking for with her. Why does this have to be so hard?

“Cross, come on,” Raven calls as she walks out of the water toward us. Rage bumps my shoulder with his, and when I glance over, he’s smiling. I shove myself out of the sand before wiping it from my legs. Raven stands with her hand out to me. I slip mine into hers, and she tugs me along with her toward the water. The waves crash on the shore and hit my feet as she leads me deeper.

“You wanna swim?” I ask her. She shakes her head as she looks up at me, and I see the glint in her eyes.

“You want me to fuck you in the water?” she smiles, and I almost lose my breath. What is she doing to me? What the hell is this I’m feeling for her?

“I just want you,” she says as we walk further. The waves crash against us as we make our way out deeper.

Raven and I ride the waves, jumping as each one comes crashing closer.

“Look,” she says. I turn my head and see the dolphins swimming close to us. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s magical. I turn my head and look back down at her, seeing her smile and the light in her eyes. It’s that. It has to be that which draws me in.

Raven watches the dolphins before turning and looking up at me. We stare at each other for a long second before she leans into me and presses her lips to mine. I kiss her back, sliding my tongue into her mouth as Raven moans. When she pulls away, I rest my forehead against hers. The water is warm as it wraps around us, keeping us close.

“I want this,” I tell her.
