She’s gorgeous.

I slip out of her, and she turns around to fix her skirt. She looks down at the top that is doing a terrible job of covering her breasts. She shrugs and mutters, “It was worth it.”

I toss the condom into a dumpster behind me and pull on my boxers and pants. “Feel better?” she asks as I’m buckling my pants.

Feel better? No. I feel fucking incredible. I feel like the very definition of bliss, and I don’t know how to say that to Madison. How do you tell someone that they just gave you a spiritual experience while they were bent over behind an arcade and screaming?

“More than better.”

I’m about to ask if she’s okay, but the words die on my lips as she grins and says, “That was fun and all, but now we need to leave. I don’t really think either of us wants to be caught back here.”

She’s right, of course. I should be worried about making sure no one catches us, but it’s hard to be worried about anything when my world was just rocked.

Madison grabs my hand and pulls me away from the dark corner of the world. “I hope you’re not a one and done kind of guy. You promised me orgasms with an ‘s’ last night and didn’t deliver. I’m holding you to it tonight.”

“I’m an as-many-as-you-can-handle kind of guy. You don’t have to worry about whether I can keep up.”

We climb into the Porsche, and as I start the engine, I run my hand over her thigh. “Thank you for…”

“For letting you blow my mind? Yeah, I’d say the feeling is mutual. Now get me home so you can do it all over again.”

Fuck. Me.

Chapter 24

Emery

Madison is curled in my arms, passed out from exhaustion and another orgasm. Tonight isn’t what I expected at all. I’d gone after her to talk to her, to ease the pain that I’d seen in her.

I run my fingers through her hair, and she almost purrs. God, I can’t let her go now that I know more about her. It’s not just the sex, either. I couldn’t have brought an actress to the arcade and had fun. I let go tonight, completely forgetting about being the man the world knows.

I was just me, and Madison didn’t care. In fact, I think she actually preferred it. Everything was perfect in so many ways, and it all boils down to the fact that the woman in my arms accepts me for the man I’ve nearly forgotten how to be.

But now I have to deal with the thing that I’ve put off for the past five minutes. Tessa.

I slide my arm out from under Madison and crawl out of bed. As soon as my pants are on, I slip out of the room, silently closing the door behind me.

When Tessa barges out of her room wearing a pair of pajamas, her eyes wide with terror, I’m ready for her. I’m even ready for the taser she’s holding.

“Hey there.”

She stops, frozen in shock and more than a little fear. Then she seems to recognize me.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” she hisses.

I give her a grin. “Spending the night with Madison. I guess she woke you up?”

“Those were sex noises?” she asks, confusion written all over her face. “I thought someone was killing her.” She looks down at the weapon in her hand and shakes her head. “You’re lucky that I already met you.”

I nod. “Probably true.”

Tessa’s body visibly relaxes as she wakes up a little. She mutters, “I didn’t know Madison was that wild.” She frowns and looks at me. “Emery, I think it’s time that we had a little chat.”

I smile. It’s not what I’d hoped for, but I guess it’s not surprising. They’ve been friends for a long time, and from what I can see, Madison doesn’t get involved with men very often.

“Okay. What do you want to talk about?”

She walks to the living room that connects the two bedrooms. “Sit down. This might take a minute.”
