I snuggled in Law’s arms. The next few months would be hectic as we got ready for the wedding. I was still aiming for early November, before Thanksgiving. I was going this week to look at the dress I’d found before I got shot. I had my fingers crossed that it was the one. I’d breathe easier when that part was out of the way.

Tonya: Epilogue- Two Months Later

I had surprises over the last two months. More than I ever thought. I was happy to say they were all good ones. Or at least they were for me. To start, Dan had gotten out of rehab. You might think that wasn’t good, but it was. During his time there, he’d had time to think rationally. He’d been using drugs for much longer than anyone realized. Without them clouding his mind, he realized the mistakes he made. When he got out, he’d arranged to see me with Law present. He apologized for the first time he cheated on me. He looked sad, seeing Law’s ring on my finger.

“I see you’re engaged. No need to ask to who. It has to be Law. He’s so protective of you and the kids. I have to ask. Do you love him?”

I didn’t want to hurt Dan but I told him the truth. “Yes, I love him more than I can say. He’s my soulmate.”

“God, I wish I could go back and do things all over, Tonya. If I could, we’d still be together.”

“Dan, I don’t think we would be. I think things happened for a reason and that reason was so I’d be in the right place to meet Law.”

“I’m taking time to work on myself. I’ve decided to move to Idaho for a while. I don’t know for how long. I have a racing buddy who lives up there. He invited me to come and stay with him. I’d like it if I could call the kids once in a while to talk to them. When I get back, I’d like to be able to see them sometimes.”

“As long as you can show you’re not a threat to them and you’ll do what’s right by them, I have no problem with you talking to them or seeing them when you get back. I asked the judge not to continue the restraining order. But if you start shit again, I will have it reinstated and it won’t be for a month or two,” I warned him.

He’d been quick to agree. Before he left, he gave me the address of where he’d be staying and his new cell number. I left that meeting with a lighter heart. Law was still on the fence about him, but I thought he’d come around if Dan could prove himself.

The club had two happy events in late July, not long after the belated Fourth of July party. Blade and Cassia’s house was completed and they were able to move in. That gave them three months to get the nursery ready for their daughter.

The other happy event was the birth of Tiger, Thorn and Neriah’s son, Tripp. He was adorable and we couldn’t seem to agree on who he looked like. At times I’d say Tiger then other times I’d say Thorn. Not that it mattered. They were both head over heels in love with him. He was going to be a lucky little boy to have two fathers and a mom like Neriah.

That brings us to my current surprises. One was I’d gotten up this morning to be whisked away by the ladies of the club. They announced to me they were tasked to get me ready for my wedding. I was confused.

“What do you mean my wedding day? I’m not getting married for another two months. Have you lost your minds?”

“No, you thought you were getting married in November. We’ve been working with Law to have it sooner. He’s been chomping at the bit to marry you as soon as possible. He wanted it to be last month, but we had to wait for the company we were getting the tents, tables, and chairs from to have them available. You’re getting married today and by this evening, you will be Tonya Cane,” Soleil told me, grinning like a maniac.

I didn’t know what to say, so I didn’t say anything. They descended like a swarm of bees and buzzed around me as they made sure I went to the club’s spa, Angel’s Glamour, to have a facial, a body massage, a pedicure and manicure. Then they had my hair done up by one of the hairstylists. It was a full-service kind of spa.

Several of them had things done as well. Back at Soleil’s house afterward, they helped me to get dressed. Soleil was going to be my matron of honor. For Law, he’d asked Hawk to stand up with him as his best man. We’d decided not to have more than one attendant each. It was too hard to pick between everyone and not everyone could be in the wedding party. There were too many people.

The ladies helped to get the kids dressed. The boys were dressed as bikers. I had decided to keep that theme. Somehow, he found them tiny biker boots and had prospect cuts made in their sizes. Dena was dressed in a black dress that had a red sash. The red sash was her idea.

Law had no idea what my dress looked like. My gown was not your traditional white or cream-colored gown. Instead, I went for something edgier. After all, I was marrying a biker. The top was fitted with a sweetheart embroidered bodice with sheer off-shoulder straps with scattered sequins. The embroidered part was white over black. It had a ruched empire waist that crisscrossed in the front, and the chiffon skirt was an A-line with the front being shorter than the back which was floor length. It showed a lot of my legs. I paired it with black-and-rhinestone jewelry which I’d picked out. Harlow promised she had picked it up. My shoes were black and laced up my calves halfway. I felt sexy and beautiful once I put it on. I turned to Harlow to get the jewelry.

“Hang on a minute. Dad wants to see you,” she said as she hurried out the door. I was happy that Bull had volunteered to walk me down the aisle, like he did so many of the old ladies. Bear was officiating like he usually did. They were an unexpectedly talented and loving group. A minute later she was back with Bull in tow. He came over and kissed my cheek.

“Honey, you look too damn gorgeous in that. We’ll have to beat the men off with a stick. Be ready for Law to have a heart attack. Are you sure you want to go through with this?”

“Yes, I’m positive,” I said in response to his teasing smile.

“Okay, then Harlow said you'd need these.”

He handed me a velvet case. I took it and opened it to find a jewelry set even prettier than the one I’d picked out. I exclaimed over it and started to put it on. Bull helped me with the necklace as I put in the earrings.

“I can’t believe she found costume jewelry that looks this real.” The ladies snickered. I looked at them and frowned. “Why’re you snickering?”

“Honey, I guess you missed this part when Soleil got married, but that’s not fake stuff. Bull always gets the bride some kind of jewelry or bling for her wedding. Harlow showed Bull what you liked in the fake stuff and he found something close to the real thing,” Ms. Marie explained.

I gasped and whipped around to stare at Bull in shock. “Bull, I can’t accept this! It’s too much.” I reached up to take it off. He stopped me by grasping my hand.

“Sweetheart, I have more money than I’ll ever spend in this lifetime. I like giving beautiful women pretty things. I’ve done it for all the old ladies here and at home. I’m not letting you ruin my streak. Give me a kiss and enjoy. Oh, and don’t tell Law you kissed me. He’s a possessive bastard. I’d hate to have him come after me.”

I fought not to cry and ruin my makeup as I hugged him, gave him two kisses, and thanked him twice. He walked out to wait for me outside when the time came. After that, it was a flurry as everyone did their last-minute primping. Before I knew it, they called the kids out first. Daniel was the ring bearer for my ring and Dylan was walking with his big brother, carrying Law’s ring. Dena was of course our flower girl.

The wedding colors were black and white with red accents. Dena scattered red rose petals on the ground. Soleil was dressed in a sexy short red dress. Law and Hawk would be dressed in biker attire similar to the boys. The only concession was they would wear a red rose in their cuts.
