“I need to go harder. You feel too fucking good.” He rode me faster, his pelvis slamming against my ass. My room filled with the sounds of sex. The sounds of us as we both raced toward a release.

“Shit, I’m not going to last,” he groaned. “You’re too tight.” His hand slipped around my hip, dipping to find my clit. “Come for me again, blondie. Come all over my cock.”

He pinched my clit, and I shattered. Pretty sure my soul departed my body for a second as I cried out his name, over and over like a prayer to the gods.

“Fuck, Harper.” Mason came hard before rolling off to the side and pulling me down with him.

We lay there quietly. Watching each other.

“Say something,” I whispered, suddenly feeling stripped bare before this complicated guy.

“I don’t know what to say. That was…”

“Yeah.” I swallowed over the lump in my throat. “I should probably go clean up,” I said, desperately needing to lighten the heavy tension that had descended over us.

“Wait a second.” Mason hooked his arm around me, refusing to let me go. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.”

“Harper…”

“I’ve never done this before,” I admitted, my chest constricting with the truth.

“And you think I have?” He reached for my face, brushing the hair from my eyes and tucking it behind my ear. “We’re in this together, okay?”

“Okay.”

“Now get over here.” He pulled me flush against his body, kissing me deeply. “You are—”

His cell phone started vibrating, and he let out a heavy groan. “It could be Scottie. Sometimes he needs me…”

“Of course. Do your thing. I’ll go clean up.” I gave him a soft kiss before slipping out of bed, a little awkwardly given the fact we hadn’t used any protection.

Another first

But it felt right.

Everything about Mason did.

God, I really hoped I wasn’t rushing in headfirst. But he’d said we were in this together.

I quickly cleaned up in the bathroom and went back to him. “Is he okay?”

“What?” He was busy texting on his phone.

“Scottie?” I asked, a little confused.

“False alarm. It’s just the group chat.” He threw his cell on the nightstand and tapped the bed. “Get back over here.”

“Group chat, huh?” I smiled, climbing back into bed with him. “And does the group chat know where you are?”

“Nope.” He pulled me down, wrapping me into his arms. “And let’s keep it that way for a little bit.”

“What?” I eased back to look at him, a sinking sensation going through me.

Was he already having second thoughts?

“I thought you said we weren’t going to hide?”
