“Settle down.” Daniel slowly sipped his whisky. “We’re enjoying all the practice...and sleep.”

Fletcher let out a bark. “Bullshit. You don’t sleep, you workaholic. It won’t be long. Wait until Olivia gives birth, and Harper sees it. Baby fever will strike,” Fletcher teased.

Daniel said nothing, just sipped his whisky, but Logan saw his eyes drift to his wife.

Listening to his cousin’s banter reminded him of growing up with Aidan. It was a shame they hadn’t had that time together when they were all younger because of their fathers’ estrangement.

Amelia had always been a girly girl and had gotten upset if they teased her. But on the playground, they protected her like they were in the secret service.

Still did.

Any man who dared look or wink at their little sister was warned off. Much to her disgrace.

“When are you heading back to Philly?” Fletcher asked.

Aidan joined them, leaning on the sofa beside him.

Logan grabbed his brother’s whisky and took a sip. Which earned him a frown.

“Tomorrow,” Logan replied. “Aidan and Amelia brought the jet over, so we’ll head back together.”

“You know, we’re all heading to the Hamptons tomorrow afternoon. Why don’t you join us for the long weekend,” Fletcher said, sipping slowly.

Aidan let out a whistle. “I’ve heard about this gorgeous property of yours out there. Unfortunately, I’ve got some work I have to attend to, but raincheck?”

“You bet. As long as our baby doesn’t arrive early, we’ll look at hosting Thanksgiving. There’s room for everyone.”

Logan had seen images of the Dufort family holiday home in the Hamptons. Like Fletcher’s penthouse, it had been profiled in magazines and through images online. Of course, being their cousin, he’d taken particular notice.

It looked spectacular.

He wasn’t a stranger to luxury himself.

Logan owned a penthouse worth a few million, along with a luxury home—fine, mansion—he’d purchased to surprise Zoe when she’d told him she was pregnant.

It had still been in escrow during their divorce so hadn’t been part of the settlement. Logan had gone through with the purchase—he loved the house, and it was a great investment.

But he rarely spent time at the large property. It didn’t feel like home yet, but one day, he’d decide what to do with it.

For now, it was gathering dust, its value increasing.

“Logan?” Daniel asked. “Be great to have you out there. We’ve got space on the chopper, so you can fly out with Harper and me. We’ll have you back here early Monday afternoon.”

It was tempting.

Logan rarely took holidays anymore, and building a relationship with his cousins was a growing priority. He had no plans to have his own family, unlike the rest of his Dufort siblings and cousins—although he wasn’t sure about Aidan’s priorities—so he’d have to learn to fit in and be the cool uncle.

Logan slowly nodded.

The desire to stay connected to Daniel, Hunter, and Fletcher was even more important now that he’d seen them again. He hated what they’d missed out on as kids.

“Yeah, that sounds great. Love too,” Logan finally said, and Fletcher grinned like Logan had just made his year.

“What about Amelia?”

“Here. Present.” She bounced over, her mobile phone in her hand. “And call me Amy if you want. I answer to both.”

“Not sure you’re supposed to look that happy at a funeral, Amelia.” Aidan looped his arm around her shoulder and glanced down at the phone. “Ahh, that’s why.”
