Finally, they landed in the front yard of Fletcher’s beautiful mansion. Emma paused a moment to take in the sweeping white structure with the green sculpted lawn and luxury cars parked on the drive.

It was stunning.

There were three stories, and thanks to Google, Emma knew an enormous swimming pool, a pool house, and a spectacular entertainment area waited out back.

Behind her was the ocean.

She could smell the salt air, and boy, what a stark contrast after being in Manhattan for a week.

Once she’d taken it all in, Emma couldn’t get off the Dufort chopper and away from the man creating heat between her legs fast enough.

One night.

It was only supposed to be one night, and she’d never see him again.

Now, she was stuck in the same house as Logan for the next three days.

“You made it!” Olivia cried. Sammy, her daughter, jumped up and down excitedly, waving beside her.

Emma couldn’t help a grin. The little girl was gorgeous.

“My friend Sienna is coming too,” Sammy told Emma as they followed Olivia inside.

“Oh yeah?” Emma asked. “Are you two going out clubbing?”

Sammy screwed up her face. “What’s clubbing?

Olivia shot her an amused look.

“Ask me in ten years.” Emma winked.

“Oh, I’m a grown-up now. You can tell me,” Sammy said, then whispered loudly, “I know a secret. A biggg secret.”

“Sammy,” Olivia warned softly.

“But I can’t tell you. Because I’m grown up.” Sammy covered her mouth.

Emma let out a laugh. “Okay. Fair enough.”

“What secret?” Harper asked.

“Nothing exciting,” Olivia replied. “Now, here you go, Emma. This room is lovely. Fletcher and I are up one floor, but Harper and Addy will be down the other end of this hall.”

“Thank you so much for letting me stay.”

“I’m so pleased you could join us. Come downstairs when you’re unpacked and let any of the staff know if you need anything. We have a full team on board this weekend.”

“Wow, it’s like a hotel.”

Olivia gave her a smile as Harper wandered down to her room.

“It’s in the Dufort blood, I guess. Sammy, come with me, and let’s talk about how secrets work.” Olivia shot Emma an eye-roll over the little girl’s shoulder and took her hand.

Emma laughed and walked into her room, dropping her bag and taking a look around the beautiful space.

Like much of the house, it had whitewashed walls and ceiling, giving it a classic and fresh look. The room was furnished with a queen bed, dresser, and a desk in the corner. The wardrobe was spacious, and it had a bathroom, which looked like it was shared with another room, due to the second door.

The view looked out across the back of the house, where Emma got her first view of the pool.
