CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

They had stood nakedin the bathroom after taking a shower together, Logan kissing her for approximately twelve solid minutes before releasing her.

Emma hadn’t been in a hurry to say goodbye herself. They’d see each other downstairs, but this was their last intimate moment together.

Unless she took him up on his offer.

Emma had been shocked at his proposal, but to say she was uninterested was a lie.

Logan was an incredible lover who she was very comfortable with. It was an amazing offer, and the idea of regular sex with him was hard to decline.

Although, some of his terms needed adjusting, and as a lawyer, she was going to negotiate with them.

Of course, she was.

Exclusivity was an absolute no. The likelihood of her wanting another man right now was about zero, but closing the door on meeting anyone else was not wise.

So, was she considering it?

Yes.

Was she concerned she might like Logan Dufort a little more than she’d let on and was even admitting to herself?

Oh yes.

While she dressed and packed, he was having a meeting with his board, as he’d told Jackson. Then he was joining her for brunch.

So she took her time and then wandered down to chat with the girls, who were in Harper’s room. When it was just the two of them, she told her friend what Logan had proposed.

“Holy shit. You said yes, right?”

“Not yet. Although, I probably will. I’m not sure I can say no to that man.”

Harper nodded slowly.

“What if I fall in love with him?” Emma asked. “Don’t you dare repeat that, but what if I do?”

Harper curled her feet under her on the bed. “Okay, promise not to hurt me if I say this?”

Emma raised a brow.

Now she was worried.

“What? Does he have another woman? Jesus, Harper. Tell me. Christ, I didn’t ask any questions—just spread my legs and off I went.”

“Okay, first, don’t say that because my brain visualizes everything way too much...and second, no, he doesn’t have anyone that I know of. Remember, I just met the guy,” Harper said.

Of course.

Emma had been there the day Logan turned up in the bar and introduced himself to them all.

Daniel knew him, but even the other Dufort men hadn’t remembered Logan from their childhoods.

Emma flopped back on the bed.

“I should say no.”
