“First of all, I was just talking to the guy. Second of all, I don’t think you’re going to tell me who I’ll be fucking.”
I try to walk past him and back out to the party, but he grabs my arm, shoving me against the door.
“I said stay away from him, princess.” His hot breath brushes across my face.
“I said stop calling me princess,” I say breathlessly.
His nose is almost grazing mine, and my heart is pounding in my chest. What the fuck is wrong with me?
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” His grip on my arm loosens, and I pull my arm away, shooting him a dirty look before I leave the room.
What the fuck is his problem?
I can’t find Todd anywhere when I get back out to the living room. I find Heather in the kitchen, standing by the refrigerator, so I walk in her direction.
“Hey, Charlotte.” She smiles brightly, pulling me in for a hug.
“Hey. I haven’t been able to find anyone I know here,” I tell her, leaning up against the counter.
“Same. I saw Cam when she came downstairs, but she disappeared with some college guy,” she says, shrugging.
“Of course she did.” I roll my eyes, laughing.
We chat for a few minutes before she runs off, looking for Tabby. I’m still standing in the kitchen when Cole comes into the room, the blonde from the other day following behind him.
“Monika, I told you that we are finished.”
“You’re never finished with me, baby,” she purrs. I scrunch up my nose in disgust.
I watch her trace her finger over his arm, and I also watch when he gives up his fight and pushes her back up against the island in the middle of the room.
Neither of them even realize that I’m standing in the room with them.
“Just let me take care of you,” she says, her hands fumbling with the button on his pants.
My hand flies up to my mouth when I realize what’s about to happen. I need to get out of here, but it feels like my feet are cemented to the floor.
I watch Monika drop to her knees; Cole’s head falls back as soon as I’m sure her lips wrap around his dick.
His eyes open and travel around the room, before he finally realizes I’m standing there. His eyes are full of lust, and he shoots a grin in my direction. I watch his tongue dart out of his mouth, running across his bottom lip, and I pull mine between my teeth.
I don’t know how long I stand there before a loud cheer from the next room breaks me out of whatever spell I was under. I shake my head and run from the room.
Cole Garrett is turning me into some fucking crazy person.
I nearly run into Todd when I round the corner.
“Whoa. You okay?” he asks, his hands gripping my shoulders.
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
“You wanna find someplace quiet to talk?” he asks.
The last thing I want to do is talk. I want to go upstairs, get naked, get in the shower, and take care of the dampness that I’m feeling in my panties right now.
I’ve got to get a grip. Jesus Christ. What is wrong with me?
“Sure,” I tell him, following him out to the patio.
