“Right there, God, I’m so fucking close.” I moan, my head falling to the couch.

He grabs my hair, yanking my head back up, before he grips my throat, squeezing just enough.

“I don’t care what anyone says, you’re mine. You got that? You’re fucking mine now,” He growls.

“I’m yours, fuck.” I moan, seeing stars.

“I’m gonna come baby, but I need you to come first,” he says.

“I’m coming.” I moan, my body shuddering.

I know the moment he comes, because his hand tightens around my neck, while his fingertips dig into the skin of my waist.

We’re both quiet, the sounds of our heavy breathing filling the room. He leans over, peppering kisses over my back before he pulls out. My body immediately missing the feel of him.

I stand up and before either one of us can start to overthink things, he pulls me in for a long deep kiss, hands threading through my hair.

I pull away from him before things get too intense.

“Get your shit together, Clark. Apologize to Mitch, whatever, do something.” I tell him.

“Mitch doesn’t want to hear shit from me, and I don’t think he’d be too pleased to find out that I just fucked his baby sister while she was bent over my couch,” he says, walking over to grab his sweatpants.

“Have you even tried?” I fire back.

He looks at me, studies me, his stare always making me feel just a little unsettled.

“What would I even say?”

“Maybe start with the truth. Tell him whatever the fuck is going on with you and Riley, apologize for being inappropriate with his baby sister, fucking say something to him. It’s better than feeling sorry for yourself while you drink yourself away every night,” I tell him, walking around to grab my clothes.

“Thanks for your advice, but I’m gonna pass,” he says.

His nonchalant attitude is pissing me off. I want to throw something at him, a bottle, a chair, my fucking self, again. It’s so infuriating to hate someone, yet love them in the same breath.

“You know what, fuck you, Clark. Grow up.” I tell him, walking out, slamming the door behind me.

He doesn’t follow me, because he’s Clark James and that’s not really his style, is it?

I rush down the stairs, out to my car that I parked on the side of the street. When I unlock the door, I get the strangest feeling that someone is watching me. I stop, looking up and down the sidewalk. It’s too dark to see anything, but I can’t shake the feeling.

I rush over to my car, climbing inside as quickly as I can.

“Fuck!” I yell, slamming my hands on the steering wheel.

He’s so infuriating. Why does he care so little about his life? What the fuck is he hiding and why?

I send Mitch a quick text, asking him to come by my place later this evening and I make my way home. I’m going to talk some sense into at least one of them tonight.

An hour later, Delaney is gone to a party that she tried to drag me to, but the last thing on my mind is some college party. We’re out for the summer right now and I feel like I’ve been doing everything I can to avoid socializing with people in any way.

When I hear a knock at the door, I get up from the couch, walk over to the door and look through the peephole. I’ve been feeling like someone has been watching me for like a week now and I’m not taking any chances.

“Hey, Mitch,” I say, pulling the door open when I see that it’s my brother.

“What’s going on? Your text sounded important.” He says, walking past me.

“We need to talk. Sit down.” I tell him, gesturing towards the couch.
