I brushed the loofah over my nipples and groaned as the light touch made my inner muscles clench. These days, getting off had everything to do with Parker. He’d know, and I’d have to smother that smug smile with a pillow at the first opportunity.

My head jerked up at the sound of the metal locker room door closing. The cheerleaders had already changed and left, so I should have had the room to myself. Then again, Lizzy was always forgetting something.

Slow footsteps approached, and I considered diving for my towel.

Parker came around the corner, and my heart jumped for a different reason. His eyes followed the path of the water running down my body, then met mine again with a matching hunger.

“Nice catch.”

I turned my back on him to wash off the soap. “I can’t decide if you’re insane or just that good.”

“I knew you’d get free.”

The soft smack of clothes hitting the ground behind me sent a thrill up my spine. A second later, his hands smoothed across my stomach. Parker kissed my shoulder and pulled me tight to him.

“I’m sorry.”

His warmth covered my back, rivaling the hot water, and his stupid penis snuggled against my ass in a hard line. I was so lost in the feel of him it took several seconds for his words to register. When they did, I stiffened. His apology confirmed he’d been manipulative on the field.

“You got what you wanted. We won.” I tried to move away from him to turn off the water, but he held me in place.

“We both wanted that win, and I’m not sorry for saying the words I’d been thinking all game. I’m sorry for ignoring you after.”

I hadn’t let myself put much thought into his actions after—mostly because I didn’t want to dwell on the way he could turn his feelings for me on and off. My biggest struggle the last few weeks had been to narrow my focus to my job. Run and catch. Nowhere in there could I afford errant thoughts about the cut of shadow in Parker’s bicep as he released the ball.

Duke took great joy in tackling me whenever my attention wavered, though he remembered to keep it easy in practice.

“We’resupposed tobe ignoring each other. That’s the deal.” I tugged away again, and this time he let me go.

The water cut off, allowing cool air to seep in past the steam. I took a deep breath, shoring up my defenses before I turned to face him. Parker stood only inches away.

He caged me in with his arms, leaning down to brush my nose with his. “Lorelai, I think about you whether you’re on the field or not.”

“I didn’t think I could do that,” I whispered. “Focus on the game and on you at the same time.”

“You can. This connection is what makes us so dangerous. Use it.” Parker knelt in front of me, palming my ass and shifting my hips forward.

I dug my fingers through his hair. “What are you doing?”

“Taking the edge off.” He grinned up at me for a brief second. “I just want a taste.”

My eyes rolled back in my head with a whimper as his tongue stroked a long line up to my clit. I was so ready for him it didn’t take much effort on his part. He growled his approval when I moved my hips in time with the thrusts of his fingers and yanked his face closer.

The low, rough noise raked my nerve endings, sending me over the edge. My legs shook with my release, but I managed to keep my groans quiet by biting my lip.

“Good girl,” he murmured, nipping at the inside of my thigh.

So much better than getting myself off.

I slid to the ground in front of him, and he brushed wet hair away from my face to kiss me. Slow and decadent, like we had all the time in the world. I tasted myself on his tongue and scooted closer to straddle his lap.

He flexed upward, rubbing his cock through my folds with sinful precision. The move ignited my sated lull into a burning need. I wanted Parker. Right now. All I’d have to do was lift myself a little to feel him inside me. When I leaned into him, though, he gripped my hips to stop me from sinking down.

With a curse, Parker set me aside and stood to grab my towel. “I have plans for you tonight that don’t involve hard tile floors and the chance of being outed.”

My heart took off as I realized how precarious our situation was. Anyone could have walked into the locker room and seen us. Granted, they’d have to come around the corner into the shower area, but I hadn’t tried all that hard to be quiet.

He held my towel out for me with a lift of his eyebrow. “Unless you want to take our chances here?”
