Without any lead up, Madden grabbed my neck in his large palm, dragging my naked body against his, his hardness thick against my stomach as he began to savage my mouth. His tongue snaked along mine, tangling and twisting as his other hand palmed my breasts, twisting my nipple with each pass of his fingers.

I could feel my arousal dripping down my thighs already, my body always read whenever these men were around. Madden removed his hand from my neck, dipping his fingers into my pussy and spreading more wetness around, causing me to moan from the pressure of his touch.

Pulling away from my mouth, Madden brought his fingers to his mouth, sucking deeply and groaning from deep in his chest.

“I’ll taste that delicious pussy later, but for now, I’m going to fulfill my promise of fucking you until you can’t walk straight.”

His words sent another spark of heat from my spine to my core, my thighs clenching in anticipation. Madden reached down, gripping my thighs in his palms, before he slammed me against the door, thrusting into me in the same motion.

His thick length immediately stretched me, a groan falling from my lips as I felt the fullness. After a moment to adjust, Madden started pounding into me in quick movements, my back hitting the wall with each thrust. His thumb reached between us, circling my clit, bringing me over the edge faster than I thought possible.

“Fuck!” I screamed as my orgasm consumed me and then I felt Madden’s body tense as he came, his head falling to my chest.

Both of us were out of breath, the intensity of our fucking overcoming us both. Resting my head against the door, I couldn’t help but grin down at my savage man.

A knock on the door at my back brought me out of the moment and my eyes widened.

“Found you guys. Quite the show you put on by the way.” Wilder’s voice sounded through the door and my cheeks reddened, even though I knew I had nothing to be embarrassed about.

Quickly getting redressed, Madden and I exited the closet, finding a smirking Wilder leaning against the opposite wall.

“When did you find us?” I asked, wondering how much he had heard.

“Found you at about the time I heard you slam against the door. Figured I’d let you finish first. I am a gentleman after all.” Wilder winked at me, adjusting the large bulge in his pants, before flashing away, presumably to find the others.

“I only have two more minutes to find that bastard of a Seer before I lose the bet! The rest of them are in the sitting area!” Wilder yelled behind him and I burst into laughter, Madden chuckling at my side as we made our way back towards the others.

And as we walked into the room to find the other three smiling amongst themselves in front of the fire, I thought of the image from Willow’s walls of memories. And I hoped that one day someone else would look on our image and be struck by the pure happiness radiating from the people within the photo.

Chapter Fifteen

Eli

After our lighthearted day, we had all gone to bed early, and in separate rooms, to get rest for today. We didn’t know what we were facing or what the outcome would be. All I knew was that we all had the intention to make it back to the castle alive.

Stretching, I climbed out of bed, getting dressed for the day in a tight pair of pants and shirt, clothing that was left behind by previous Divines. The material was stretchy and we had determined that their fighters had worn it in combat.

Stepping out of my room, I met the others in the hallway who were already prepared. Everyone was dressed the same, all of us ready to fight off whatever came our way. Without a word, none of us wanting to speak about the risk we were taking today, the seven of us made our way through the halls, until we stood outside the castle.

The volunteers were already there, one of the lead Guard members, Sasha, at their helm. Yesterday, Hank had given us the time to ourselves while he went and informed the Divines of their responsibility today. We were all prepped and ready, now we just needed to leave.

Quietly, Wilder took the lead along with Sasha, the rest of us following along. The Divines that had volunteered with passive abilities were armed with weapons; in case we could kill the creatures by force. Once more, we were walking into a situation blind and weren’t sure which abilities we would need in our arsenal.

Stepping outside the shield surrounding the grounds of the castle, an immediate chill ran up my spine. Turning to look at Halley on my side, I could see she felt it as well, a shiver rolling over her. Whatever waited for us out here, it was eerier than anything we had encountered on the human realm.

“Spread into an arc. But stay close. No one is to go off on their own. Understood?” Wilder commanded and we all nodded in understanding. Only an idiot would want to explore this place on their own.

Trekking along an overgrown path, our group made our way towards the east side of the land, the area Wilder claimed to have a small number of creatures. As we grew closer, I watched as the Drax began to perk up, clearly hearing something the rest of us didn’t.

“Time to shift.” Wilder murmured to Madden and suddenly, Madden, Kalani, and the few other Shifters were all in their creature form. Madden’s large wolf strode alongside Wilder, whereas Kalani’s smoke filled creature walked beside Halley and Maeve, a fearsome protector if either needed one. We were still researching Kalani’s creature, but I made a mental note to ask Willow more about the distinct power she had briefly spoke about.

Focusing back on the task at hand, I reached my power out, wondering if I would feel anything. As my power spread, sadness and agony overwhelmed me, causing me to stop in my tracks. Halley immediately paused at my side; her eyebrows creased as she stared at me with worry.

“What’s wrong?” She whispered, all of us trying to stay hidden from the creatures for as long as possible.

“They have feelings. Whatever they are, I can feel every emotion through them. They’re fucking tortured inside, Halls.”

Halley’s eyes widened at my words, frantically looking around as if something was about to jump out at us. Getting back control from the onslaught of emotions, I stood back up straight, continuing along with the others, Halley’s concerned eyes glancing at me every so often.
