“Because you’re seeing me first thing in the morning,” she said. “I haven’t brushed my teeth. My makeup is probably smudged. I know my hair is a hot mess.”

“And you’ve never looked more beautiful.”

“Liar,” she said, grinning.

“Not even.”

“I should get up,” she said. “Have you heard anyone up?”

“Nope. It’s barely six. I have a feeling everyone is going to take advantage of the free day and sleep in. I would.”

“But you’re not?” she asked. “Why not?”

“I don’t sleep in very often,” I said. “I usually get up early and head for the gym or office.”

“Wow. Okay. You check and make sure the coast is clear. I’m going to get dressed and make a run for it.”

“I wish we were here alone,” I said. “I want to stay in bed with you all day, all night, and all the next day.”

“Wouldn’t that get a little boring?”

I rose up and looked down at her. “Are you suggesting I’m a one-trick pony? That I couldn’t keep you satisfied? Woman, trust me, it wouldn’t get boring. I think you just put out a challenge. A challenge I’m ready to meet.”

“Relax, big boy,” she said. “I’m not insulting your manhood or laying out a challenge. I’m just saying we’re in this amazing city and there is so much to see and do.”

“Next time,” I said.

I watched her get out of bed and get dressed. It was a fight not to drag her back in with me. If we had been alone, I would absolutely throw her down and bury myself inside her. But we weren’t alone and the scandal that would be stirred up if anyone saw her leaving my room would be more damaging to her than me.

“Quit staring and go check,” she scolded.

I got out of bed and walked to the door in my birthday suit. She slapped my ass. “You are such a shameless man.”

“You had your mouth on my dick last night,” I reminded her. “I think you’ve seen all I’ve got to offer.”

I stepped up to him and put my hand on his chest before kissing him. “I’ve seen it and I like what’s been offered.”

“Come back anytime,” I teased.

I opened the door, peeked out, and didn’t see or hear anyone. “Clear,” I said.

“Get your naked ass back inside,” she hissed.

I watched her scramble to the door and disappear inside. Today was going to be a good day. I already knew what I wanted to do with my free time. I was just hoping I would be able to convince her to let me have her free time.

I took a quick shower and dressed in a pair of shorts and a casual shirt. I headed downstairs to grab some coffee and found the chef had already arrived. The rich smell of coffee permeated the air.

I immediately helped myself to the rich blend he claimed to buy direct from Colombia. I didn’t know if he did or not, but it was unlike any other coffee I had ever been able to find. After checking with him about his breakfast plans, I was shooed out of the kitchen. No one else was awake, which was not a surprise. I decided to take advantage of the quiet and went out on the lower balcony with my coffee. I knew Peter would be up. Sundays, he let Jessica sleep in and got up with the kids.

When he answered, I heard the sounds of cartoons in the background. “Aren’t you in Vegas?” he asked.

“I am,” I replied.

“Then why in the hell are you calling me so early in the morning?”

“Because I’m up, and I knew you would be. Everyone is asleep. I’ve got the chef making breakfast. I thought I would call and check in.”

“How’s it going?” he asked.
