Reluctantly, I kissed the tip of her nose and stepped away. “We need to get going.”

She nodded, but I caught the flash of disappointment she quickly hid with another smile.

“I wish we could stay all day here with you,” I reassured her.

She ran her hand up and down my arm. Tingles spread with each swipe of her touch. “I know. Don’t worry about me. I get it.”

Andrew leaned in and placed a light kiss on her cheek. “We’ll meet up with you later.”

She let go of me, and I hated how quickly I missed her touch. How was I going to get through the rest of the day?

“Sunshine, can I have your phone number now?” Andrew held his phone out to Tori.

“Of course. I’m so sorry about that the other night.” Tori’s cheeks pinked as she took Drew's phone and entered her number.

“I’d say last night made up for it.” He gave her a quick kiss on the tip of her nose. “I’ll send you a group text with Caleb, so you have his number, too.”

Andrew rushed to his room to finish getting dressed while I made our coffees to go. We all needed the caffeine kick this morning with how little sleep we had.

With another kiss from Andrew and me, we left the house, our steps dragging as we each headed to the separate meetings we had to be at. I would have loved to have stayed with her all day, but we had work to do, and I knew she understood. That didn’t make it any easier to leave her.

Her being in only a shirt in our kitchen, making us coffee, had triggered something in me.

It was domestic.

It was all too real. It was something I’d wanted and craved for myself and Drew but didn’t expect to get so soon. Most of the guys on the ranch had been working here for years. The ranch was secluded, and the town had slim pickings. Most of the women around here we’ve known since grade school, and I couldn’t imagine any of them wanting to settle into this type of lifestyle. So, I had hoped I would find someone when I ventured to the horse shows with the team.

Now my mind was wrapping itself around Tori. We barely knew her, but the Kingstons had all but told us, when you know, you know. It was like being hit by a longhorn in the chest. She’d done that to me when she walked right up and kissed me.

“Earth to Caleb.” Gavin snapped his fingers in my face.

“Sorry, what were you saying?” I blinked and forced my eyes to focus on my brother.

“I was asking you where the fuck Drew was.”

“Oh, he said he was meeting with Declan and Travis this morning to go over timelines and plans for the rest of the year.”I needed to get my shit together. This was an important opportunity for Drew and me. We didn’t need to screw it up because we were distracted.

“Well then, it’s you and me. Jeff is coming today to see if the expansion is possible. He should be here soon. If he gives us the go, I need you to help me clean out the other office.” Gavin typed away at his computer as he spoke. Always multitasking. He and I were more alike than he was with Drew.

“Okay.” I relaxed in the chair on the other side of Gavin’s desk. I took my phone from my pocket and went to the group text message with Tori and Drew.

Caleb: Pack a bag, princess. We have plans for you for the foreseeable future.

Drew chimed in right away.

Andrew: Bring lots of those cute little dresses of yours. I’m a big fan of those.

Tori: What about my flannel pajamas?

I saw Gavin turn to face me out of the corner of my eye. It was then I realized the growling noise was coming from me. Tori was learning which buttons to push.

Caleb: No clothes allowed in the bedroom.

Tori: Yes, sir.

I groaned and put my phone away. If this continued, I wasn’t going to make it much longer before I couldn’t hide my hardening cock. I had work to do.

“Everything okay?” Gavin eyed me with a knowing smirk.
