“I wasn’t trying to be. If I’d had my way last night, I would have knocked out a few guys for lingering too long, plus the guy who stole you from me.” Andrew kissed her bare shoulder. The sundress was too tempting.
Goosebumps appeared on her skin, and she shivered.It made me want to run my hand down her arms to see if I could get the same reaction.
She cleared her throat and stepped away. “You said you were a vet. I can only assume you work here now? I’ve heard Thomas and Dec talk about you guys. They’re excited to have you full-time.”
“So, Victoria, are we correct to assume you’re their friend from Cosland?” I asked.
“I am. But you can call me Tori.” She turned and offered her hand.
I was itching to touch her again but knew enough to take it slow until we could figure out if she wanted me like she wanted Andrew. I grabbed her hand, turned it, and brought it to my lips. Then I placed a light kiss on the back of it. “I’m Caleb. This idiot’s twin brother.”
“Hi, Caleb.” She blushed.
My heart lifted. If I’d made her blush, maybe that meant I had a shot with her.Knowing she was from Cosland helped, since two husband marriages were common there.
“Forgive me for this, but I’ve never met twins before. I can barely tell you two apart.” She studied us. Normally, I would have been put off by it, like I was when anyone else stared, but the heat that ignited in her eyes was intriguing.
The tip of her tongue poked out and licked her lips as her eyes raked up and down my body. It took all I had to not pull her toward me in another heart-stopping kiss.
“We may be identical, but there are ways to tell us apart,” I said.
Her eyes snapped to mine.
“But most of them you can’t see unless we’re someplace private.” Andrew winked, and I watched as her eyes moved down his body when he chuckled. She was obviously interested in Andrew.
Even though I had just met her, and only had one incredible kiss, I wanted her. It was a desperation I’d never felt before. It had crossed my mind more than once that maybe the right woman for my brother and I would be someone who differed vastly from anyone else we’d ever met. Victoria was definitely different, and in a good way. I saw the way she’d checked out both of us, but it didn’t stop me from thinking she wouldn’t want me the way she wanted Andrew. I was either going to win her over, or I was going to have to accept that maybe we weren’t going to end up with the same woman after all.My heart ached even thinking of the possibility that she could choose my brother and not me.
“Well, I guess now that you found Andrew, I should get going and leave you two alone.” I pushed off the stall. I’d only made it two steps before her voice washed over me.
“Caleb?” A teasing tone had entered her voice.
“Yes?” I stopped but didn’t turn around.
“Is it true that twins like to share everything?” she asked.
I spun. This was more than I’d hoped for. Instead of having to convince her to give both of us a try, she was initiating it. She looked at Andrew, who was smiling, and then to me.
Hell yes.
“Everything,” I answered and held my breath.
Tori took three steps toward me, fisted my shirt, and rose to kiss me. I tangled my fingers in her hair and held her to me. I swept my tongue along the seam of her lips. When she groaned, her mouth opened, and I dove in. The friction of our tongues dueling had my hands going around to cup her waist.
