“She made you crawl out of the window?” Marcus laughed.

“I understand that she wants to keep this a secret from Lily, but I don’t want to jump out of windows forever.”
“You did say she wanted to do it at the right time. I say we trust her judgment,” Marcus advised. He kept dangling his glass of whiskey as he spoke.
Lily was my daughter, but she had the absolute worst timing. I wonder why she even thought it was appropriate for her to knock on someone’s door at that time. Talk about your own daughter being a cock blocker.
