“Come here, baby,” I called.

“I don’t want to. I’m trying to come up with a plan here and me being close to you would absolutely distract me.” As she spoke, I could see the corner of her lips curving into a smile.

“Come here, baby, and let’s brainstorm together. You would be surprised at the wonderful ideas I have.” I winked.

She groaned, finally succumbing to my request as she met me on my chair. I wrapped my hand around her waist and pulled her till she landed on my lap.

“That wasn’t so difficult, now was it?” I kissed her neck, taking in her scent.

“George, we are at work.” She laughed.

“That’s what makes it even more daring. You know I love a challenge.” I placed another kiss on her neck as I reached for the remote control on my table and closed the blinds.

“Oh, my.” Kat smiled because she already knew what was coming.

“Get on my desk.”

She did as I said without any complaint. I pushed my chair between her legs and holstered her skirt up. Pushing her panties aside with my hands, I rubbed her clit.

“George,” she hissed, trying to be as quiet as she could be.

“Don’t make so much noise,” I said as I covered her wet folds with my mouth.

CHAPTER19

KAT

Ididn’t know exactly how to feel when I opened my door and met Darius standing there with a coy smile on his face. I had ordered pizza earlier because I did not have it in me to make dinner. Seeing Darius standing in front of me like this had danger written all over it, but I tried my best to control my fears. I did not want him to think that I was scared of him.

Darius was the kind of man who enjoyed intimidating people. Unlike George, who just did it effortlessly due to the strength and charisma he exuded as a man, Darius would do anything to be intimidating so people would fear him for all the wrong reasons.

How did he find me and what the hell was he doing here?! I was already calculating how fast I could race into my room and grab my self-defense tools. He was the sole reason why I purchased them in the first place, and I wasn’t afraid to use them on him.

“Let’s have a word.” He smiled. But the only thing I could bring myself to feel for this man was disgust. I completely hated him and I couldn’t stand the sight of him. He infuriated every part of my being, and he really had the nerves to come to my own house?

He must have gone through my records and found my address. I had overlooked that part when I stopped working for him. I never thought I would run into this bastard.

“Get out of my property or I’ll call the cops on you and I mean it.” I held on to the handle of my door very tightly as I anticipated his next move.

“You want to call the cops?” he scoffed, shaking his head as if to say I hadn’t learned my lesson yet. “How did calling the cops work out for you the last time?” He laughed.

Bile rose to my stomach when he said those words, but I did not flinch.

“I will not let you come to my house and intimidate me. Get out of my property, or I will call the cops,” I stated again.

“I have a good reason for coming here and I think it would interest you why I’m here.”

“There is absolutely nothing you could ever say to me that would interest me.”

“Really?” He leaned into the little space that was between him, the door and me on the other side with a smile that spelled crazy. “I think you would be very interested in what I have to show you. I was quite surprised when I got a hold of this new information myself.”

“Again, there is absolutely nothing you could ever say or have that would make me listen to you. Now get out!”

“You know, you’re such a spoiled brat.”

I scoffed.

Was he really saying this to me?
