“He’ll cool down,” Yarder sighed and ran his fingers through his hair.

“So, how much money are we making?” Cue Ball asked. “Like, is the club as a whole being paid, or do we each get paid?”

“We’re thinking of taking a lump sum, and most of it will be invested into the garage, but you’ll all get a bump in your paychecks,” Compass explained.

“That is something we are going to vote on soon,” Yarder interrupted.

“Oh, so we are going to start acting like a club again?” Smoke chuckled.

Yarder shook his head and stood. “I get you guys being pissed. I knew the risk I was running when I decided to make moves behind your backs. I will take full blame for that. Don’t take it out on Compass because I was the one who told him to keep his mouth shut.”

Stretch rapped his knuckles on the table. “I think we all understand why you did what you did, Yarder. I think it’s just the sting of not being involved in this big decision. We all would have agreed to go with the TV show, but it just would have been nice to be asked about it.”

Yarder nodded. “You’re right. Hopefully, this gets us out of the hole, and hard choices and decisions won’t have to be made again.”

“Wait,” Smoke called. “What chicks did you hire to take care of the gym?”

Compass looked up at the ceiling and pursed his lips. “Uh, I think their names are Olivia and Faye.”

“Olive,” Yarder corrected him. “Olive and Faye.”

“I have no idea who either of those chicks is,” Cue Ball laughed.

“Good,” Yarder grunted. “Keep it that way. I was serious when I said I don’t want to look like a bunch of manwhores on TV. Aero and Sloane are fine, but the rest of you keep it in your pants.”

“What about I don’t keep it in my pants off of camera?” Pirate suggested. “You really think we’re going to be monks the whole time they’re recording us?”

Yarder growled but nodded. “Fine. Do whatever the fuck you want when the cameras aren’t rolling, but I don’t want it coming back around when they are.”

“Yes,” Cue Ball cheered.

Yarder rolled his eyes and headed out the door.

“Bro,” Pirate called to Compass. “You really kept this from us?”

Compass shrugged, “I had to do what Yarder wanted, and I knew eventually you guys would find out. It’s not like it was ripping apart the club or something. We’ll get paid from the show, and it puts us in a better spot.”

“What if the show only lasts one season?” Fade asked.

Compass smiled. “Then it’s going to be up to us to make sure the show is good and people want to keep seeing our ugly mugs. Be the entertaining fucks you normally are.”

My phone buzzed, and I pulled it out of my pocket.

Are you still planning on coming over tonight?

Sloane.

I smiled like an idiot at my phone.Plan on it. Got something to tell you.

Are you trying to give me anxiety?

I shook my head. It’s all good, babe. Promise.

Fine. I’ll take my freakout to level one.

Appreciate it, babe. See you soon.

I shoved my phone back into my pocket and grabbed my keys off the table. I had told Sloane I would be over after she got off work, but I actually planned to pick her up from work and go for a ride.
