Her arms tightened about his shoulders. “I’d like my own business, and I’ll do everything I can to make that happen. But I love you more, and I really wantto marry you and have your babies.” The idea of being pregnant with Darius’s child, of her body growing round with their baby, filled her with almost too much happiness to be contained.

“Then you shall have it all. Because in future, I’m going to ensure that you have everything that makes you happy,” he promised.

“You’ll spoil me,” she warned.

“It’s past time someone did,” he growled possessively before his lips claimed hers once more and there was no more talking, only loving for a long time.

When the moment came for Darius to fully claim her, he moved up onto his elbows as he lay between her parted thighs, his hands cupping her face, his gaze locked with hers. “I love you,” he told her fiercely. “I love you. I love you. I love you.” He continued that litany of love as his cock pushed gently inside her, breaking through that barrier of her innocence, claiming her fully, before thrusting in earnest. All the time taking care not to hurt her.

Mia had no doubts Darius would do everything he could to ensure nothing ever hurt her again if he could prevent it.

She would do the same for him.

Because she knew now that was what being in love and loving someone came down to. Ensuring their happiness as well as your own.

She intended to make Darius very happy!

“What the fuck…!” Darius rolled over in the bed with groan, woken by the intrusive ringtone of the mobile phone on his bedside table.

“What is it?” Mia prompted sleepily at his side.

“Someone with a death wish, I think,” Darius muttered as he pulled himself up higher on the pillows.

The two of them had spent the majority of the past forty-eight hours in bed. Making love. Talking. Making love. Showering together. Making love. Eating. Making love. Showering again. They’d taken little catnaps in between those other things, but Darius didn’t appreciate being woken up from one of them with a call on his mobile when he’d rather be making love to Mia again.

They had only been interrupted once before now, when a parcel was delivered for Mia. Once opened, it revealed several pairs of jeans and tops in Mia’s size. His brother Sinclair’s business card had accompanied them, with the handwritten message on the back “Our ladies thought their future sister-in-law would appreciate having some clothes that fit her.” Knowing bastards!

Mia had insisted on thanking them, but Darius had cut short the telephone call when he lowered himself beneath the duvet and slid down Mia’s naked body to lie between her parted thighs and begin lapping the juices from her pussy. Mia had ended the call only seconds later.

He smiled at the memory as his arms now moved about her shoulders as she turned instinctively in her sleep to rest her head against his chest, her arm lying across his waist.

He glanced at the screen of his phone, recognizing the call was coming from the security men on reception downstairs. “Yes?”

“Mr. Nikolai Volkov is here to see you, Mr. Kingston.” The nervous tone of the man’s voice told Darius he was aware of exactly who Mr. Volkov was. His words also made it clear Nikolai wasn’taskingto see him, he was demanding.

Darius heaved a heavy sigh. “Hold on a minute.” He placed his hand over the mouthpiece. “Do you feel up to company? Nikolai is downstairs.”

Her chuckle vibrated against his chest. “He did warn us I might have a visitor in a couple of days. Besides,” she sobered. “He might have further information on…things.”

Darius released another heavy sigh. “You’re right, he might. Okay, let him up,” he told the security man before ending the call. “But we’re coming straight back here as soon as he’s gone,” he told Mia firmly.

“Of course.” She sat up and got out of bed. “I’m just going to take a quick shower first.”

Darius watched her walk across the room to the bathroom, lured by the seductive sway of her hips into joining her, when the ding of the elevator told him his visitor had arrived.

Damn Nikolai to hell.

Darius was even more annoyed when he arrived fully dressed in his sitting room seconds later to find that Nikolai wasn’t alone.

“I have no idea what I’m doing here either,” Rufus Wynter told him wryly. “Nikolai insisted I accompany him.”

Darius narrowed his eyes on the Russian, but as usual, Nikolai’s gaze remained inscrutable.

As she dressed after her shower, Mia was really grateful for the clothes the Kingston ladies had chosen and had delivered to her. Although she had no idea how they could possibly have known that Darius had asked her to marry him and she had accepted.
