Bart threw his head back, his laughter filled with happiness before swinging her around the room a few times. After placing her feet back on the floor, he drew her closer into his arms for a long and meaningful kiss.

Bart had finally captured the heart of the woman he loved.

Epilogue

“Who gives this woman away to this man?” the minister asked.

“I do.”

Charm could hear the emotion in her father’s response, and it touched her deeply. She knew how much he loved her and that she would always be a “daddy’s girl.” When she saw the mistiness in his eyes, she hugged him. “I love you, Daddy. Thanks for loving me so much.”

She then turned to face Dylan when her father placed her hand in his. Dylan said in a husky voice, “I promise to make her happy.”

“See that you do,” was Bart’s gruff response. Charm and Dylan couldn’t help but grin at Bart regaining his composure to be Bart.

A short while later the pastor said to everyone gathered, “I now pronounce you husband and wife. Dylan, you may kiss your bride.”

Dylan pulled her into his arms to seal their marriage with a kiss.

Deciding to host the wedding in Denver in Westmoreland Country had been a great idea, Charm thought, as she walked around holding her husband’s hand while mingling with their many wedding guests. Not only was her Westmoreland family present but her three BFFs from college and close friends had been part of the wedding party. So had all of Dylan’s band members. They were also providing the entertainment along with several other nationally known bands who were friends of Dylan’s. Also included on the invitee list were a number of television and movie celebrities who were also Dylan’s friends.

She had flown with Dylan to meet his parents a couple of months ago, and he’d flown with her to Atlanta, Denver, Montana and Texas to meet the Westmorelands. Most of the females in the family were in awe at meeting Dylan, and her cousin Dare’s teenage daughter had exclaimed, “We have another celebrity in the family.”

“Happy, sweetheart?”

She glanced up at her husband and smiled. “Yes, I am happy. What about you?”

“Very happy but I’ll be happier once we leave for our honeymoon.”

His band members had surprised them with a two-week trip to Ireland and a stay in a castle. Since he’d missed out on their summer fun trip to Ireland they thought he deserved it and since they considered Charm his queen it was fitting they stay in a castle for their honeymoon.

“Are you being replaced already?” Dylan asked as he looked across the room.

She followed his gaze and saw the moment Sloan placed his baby daughter Cassidy, dressed in a beautiful pink lacy dress, into Bart’s arms. Charm smiled and admitted it was a heartwarming sight. She could tell others who knew her gruff father thought so as well.

“I might very well be getting replaced. I don’t mind. Cassidy is the one and only granddaughter for now and he looks like a natural holding her.” But then he’d looked like a natural holding Maverick and Phire’s newborn son a couple of months ago as well. The Outlaws were growing, and she knew her father was happy about that.

Her heart felt full of love and joy at seeing her parents together. Bart had finally put a ring on her mother’s finger and everyone, especially Charm’s brothers, had been happy that Claudia was now an official member of the Outlaw family. Winning her mother’s love and making her his wife had been the icing on the cake for Bart. These days he seemed like a different person.Almost.She also liked how well her parents and Dylan’s were getting along. Dylan had explained that as an entertainment attorney his father was used to dealing with people with various attitudes and personalities.

She was about to look back at Dylan when she noticed her cousin Jaxon Ravnell talking to Westmoreland family friend Nadia Novak. Nadia was the youngest sister of Pam, Dillon Westmoreland’s wife. Was Charm mistaken or did she see male interest in the depths of Jaxon’s eyes? Umm...

At that moment one of Dylan’s band members went onstage to get everyone’s attention. It was Graham Ives, Dylan’s best friend and who had also been his best man.

“Well, everyone, we’ve had the father-daughter dance, first dance of the wedding couple, cutting of the wedding cake and all the champagne toasts. By special request of the groom, we now have the first song. It’s a special one that Dylan wrote just for his wife and it’s titled ‘Second Time’s the Charm.’”

A surprised Charm glanced up at Dylan who grinned broadly before placing a kiss on her lips. He then moved toward the stage, took the mic from Graham and said, “I am dedicating this song to my beautiful wife who I fell in love with when she was sixteen and I was seventeen.”

After being handed his guitar, he began singing. The combination of words, melody and music brought tears to her eyes. Her husband was putting his heart, love and soul into every lyric. When he finished, he walked back to her with that Dylan Emanuel strut and swept her into his arms. After kissing her in front of everyone, he then headed toward the exit of the Westmoreland House.

The wedding was over and their lives together were beginning.
