“I’m sorry, son, who are you?” the doctor asks.

“Dante fucking Garcia! My father is Gabriel Garcia. Is he alive? Did he make it out of surgery?” Dante shouts, his anger seeping through every word, and his fist clenched in his lap.

It’s not the doctor’s fault. He didn’t shoot Gabriel or Angel.

The doctor places a hand on Dante’s shoulder, trying to calm him, and taking Dante’s anger in stride. “Have a seat. Why don’t you calm down and we can discuss Mr. Garcia after I’ve finished updating Ms. Somers on her daughter’s recovery?”

“Do you have a problem telling someone if their family member is still alive or not? Isn’t that your job, doc?”

Royal steps between Dante and the doctor, trying to diffuse the situation.

“Excuse me, Ms. Somers. I’m so sorry about this outburst,” the doc says to Brenda, then turns his attention to Dante. “Mr. Garcia made it through surgery but will have a long road of recovery ahead of him. The next twenty-four to forty-eight hours are crucial and he will need to be monitored very closely. With the amount of blood loss and damage caused by the bullets, he’s a lucky man to still be breathing. It’s very clear that whoever did this wanted to make sure Mr. Garcia did not survive. One bullet missed his heart by mere inches. He coded on the table a few times but we were able to get him back.” He looks around the room at all the bikers listening to the conversation. I watch as his shoulders tense up realizing he may have said too much. “We are very lucky you found him when you did. We might not have had the same outcome if he was left out there for even a few more minutes. He will need extensive rehab once he wakes up.”

Dante walks over and flops down in the chair, defeated. I’m not quite sure if he’s happy or sad about the news. I don’t have much time to figure it out as the doc turns back to Brenda to go over Angel’s recovery process.

“Ms. Somers was shot once in the chest. We were able to remove the bullet, but she also lost a lot of blood. I expect her to make a full recovery.” The doctor answers a few of Brenda’s questions, then leaves us.

Everyone’s spirits are low. The next forty-eight hours are critical. They both lost a massive amount of blood, and Gabriel flatlined several times during surgery. It’s not the news I wanted to hear, but at least my girl is still fighting to get back to us.

Gabriel may have a harder fight, but I’m pretty sure that bastard has nine lives, so there’s no doubt in my mind he’ll make it through. Now I just need to convince Dante of that.

I take a seat next to him, placing my hand on his knee. He still looks pretty out of it and it fills me with agony to see him like this. “Hey, man, this is good news. They both made it through the surgery, and are on their way to recovery.” He abruptly stands up, knocking my hand away from him, and storms out of the room.

Royal gets up and goes after him, brushing past the chief of police standing in the doorway, signaling Cruz to the hall.

Chapter 3

Angel

Gabriel’shandsslowlyglideup my thighs while his mouth sucks and bites my skin along the way. He’s tormenting me with his touch, igniting my hunger for him, and burning every piece of flesh he touches in his path. Gabe lets out a possessive growl when he reaches my core and his fingers skirt across my wet panties. Frustrated by the barrier separating his flesh from mine, he pushes my dress up over my ass and tears my lace thong from my body as if it has offended him somehow. My body shudders with desire overloading my system.

Beep.

My moans grow louder as his lips dance along my skin, kissing up my stomach to my breasts. Gabriel grows hungry with need, picking me up by my thighs and tossing me onto the bed. I begin to chuckle and his gaze narrows on me. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

“Let's see if you laugh when I bury my cock inside you, Sweetheart.” His eyes light up with the challenge behind his dirty words. I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge.

Game on.

I push up onto my elbows, spreading my legs further apart. I can’t help but watch him while he undresses. Gabe’s body is one of the finest pieces of artwork that I’ve ever seen. There isn't an area of skin that isn’t covered with tattoos. He’s easy on the eyes, that’s for sure. I’m watching him as he shoves his boxers to the ground and slowly climbs on top of me.

Beep.

My vision starts to blur and my eyes feel heavy. I shut them and fall back against the soft, pillowy bed. My body feels weightless, like I’m high on some sort of drug. When I finally peel my eyes open again, I’m staring up at Royal, who’s looking down at me with a smile so big that it lights up the room.

What the fuck? I turn my head from side to side searching for Gabriel.

Nothing. Gabriel is nowhere to be seen. My mind is playing tricks on me and not the kind of tricks I like. My brows turn in as I start to wonder what is happening to me. Am I losing it?

One minute, he’s making me feel good, and the next, poof. He’s gone.

My eyes close once again, hoping he will be there when I open them. My head feels heavy with confusion.

“What’s wrong, Princess?” Royal asks, dipping his fingers between my slick folds. I’m dripping wet already but it wasn’t for him. It was meant for Gabe. The fuzziness in my mind is overwhelming.

“Please, Royal,” I beg as he starts to enter me.

I’m not sure what I’m even asking for, but when he bottoms out inside me, Royal James is the only man I can think about. He leans down, kissing me softly, filling me with his long, thick cock over and over again.
