“Seems pretty old to me,” Jax teases, and he gets a pillow to the face too.
“So, what now?” Dante asks.
“Now we sleep and start fresh tomorrow,” Royal responds.
I jump off the bed, flip the lights off, and crawl back in beside Jax. Royal and Dante are snuggled happily on each side of Angel.
“If I feel your dick anywhere near my ass, I’ll be chopping it off, Luck,” Jax growls, tossing the blanket over him.
“But you know I love my cuddles, Jaxy boy,” I say, bear-hugging him. He flips over, shoving me off, and we all burst out laughing.
“Okay fine, no dick in the ass for Jax. Got it,” I laugh.
I roll onto my back, staring up at the ceiling. Happiness swells inside me. My girl’s going to bed satiated and happy. My boys are finally learning how we can all do this together.
I think we can actually make this work.
The morning comes sooner than I’d like, but since I’m the first to open my eyes, I jump in the shower and get started on breakfast. What better way to spend the day after a night full of debauchery?
I’m hard at work, trying not to be popped by the bacon and sausage when I hear the shower start up again.
I crack two dozen eggs and mix them up in a bowl. These fuckers are getting scrambled, and I don’t wanna hear any bitchin’ about it. I toss the biscuits in the oven and get started making some sausage gravy.
Angel better wife me up before someone else does. I’m a fucking catch.
“What are you smiling about?” Angel’s voice breaks me from my thoughts, and I spin around, swoop her up in my arms, and plant a kiss on her delicious lips.
“Good morning, baby. I was just reminding myself how lucky you are,” I tease.
She cocks a brow at me, waiting for the rest of what I have to say. “I mean, big dick and I cook. You better put a ring on it before someone comes and steals me away,” I laugh, dropping her to her feet.
Her eyes go wide, then she smiles the most wicked smile I’ve ever seen. “I’d shank a bitch for trying.”
“That’s my girl. I love it when you get stabby over me.” We both laugh, and I drop a kiss to her forehead before I turn back to check the food. Angel hops up on the counter next to me, stealing some of the finished bacon.
“Good dick and crispy bacon, I think I’ll keep you,” she smirks.
“Damn right you will.” We chop it up as I finish breakfast. Just as I finish up, she gets a serious look in her eyes.
“So I was thinking,” she says nervously.
“About?”
The way she plays with a strand of her hair gives me an uneasy feeling in the pit of my gut.
“Spit it out, Sunshine. The food’s ready, and I’m starved,” I tell her.
“Okay, so I was thinking…I need to go see Gabe,” she stutters, and my mouth drops. That’s what she was thinking about after our mind-blowing night together? Him.
My smile drops immediately as I run a hand over my face. “Why?” I hiss. “Can’t we just enjoy the day, Angel? Fuck, we had such a good night. Why taint it with him?”
She hops off the counter, planting her hands on her hips, staring up at me with her serious face.Ugh, I hate that face.
It’s the one that says,I’m doing this whether you like it or not, and she always does, whether we like it or not.
“I need to tell the guys, but I need to tell Gabe too.” I stare at her blankly, frustration running through my veins. “Once I tell the guys, they aren’t going to let me out of their sight, so I need to do it now.”
“Oh, and you think I will?” I frown, thinking of all the ways this could end badly.
