“But you think we eventually would’ve?” I ask.

She nods and closes her eyes, her head falling back when I arch into her. I sit up and put my hands in her hair, watching her expression change as she trembles around me. She moans when I thrust into her again.

“I do too. We were made for this. Look at me,” I whisper.

Her eyes open and I just barely pull her hips down to get deeper inside before she detonates. I flip her onto her back and fill her to the hilt.

“Jamison,” she cries out.

My name falling off her lips in ecstasy never fails to do something to my ego and my cock.

It’s not a lazy fuck anymore. I pound into her, and she meets me with every thrust. How is it possible that I still haven’t had enough of her? We go on overdrive, like there is no tomorrow, like we haven’t already fucked all night long.

My body is yours, my heart too.

Her eyes fly open and I realize I said that out loud. We come together, our worlds and bodies colliding into the perfect explosion.

She has a grip on my ass, her legs wrapped around my waist, and we both press into each other as deep as we can possibly go. I feel every quiver, every shake, and she feels every jerk, every swell, our bodies responding to each other even now. I wish I could stay buried inside her forever.

“It’s like little hugs from you when you’re coming,” I say, smiling against her neck as I kiss her pulse. “It’s the best feeling, your pussy holding on for dear life.”

She puts her hands on my cheeks. “Is sex always like this for you? I’ve never…experienced anything like this.”

I lean my forehead against her. “No, it’s never been like this for me and it wouldn’t be with anyone but you.”

“I’m falling in love with you, Jamison,” she whispers.

And then her mouth drops like she can’t believe she said it out loud, and I swoop in and kiss her like the greedy bastard I am. I want her to know I feel the same about her, but I’m unable to resist her lips.

She has my heart in her hands.

As the sun begins to rise, we catch the beginning stages of the beauty before giving in to sleep. When we wake up a few hours later, the snow has stopped and the view is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Snow-capped mountain peaks surrounding us, and every branch on the trees near us outlined with snow, the bottom third of the dome is buried with white fluff.

“I can’t get over this view,” Scarlett says.

She’s on her stomach, looking at the view behind our bed.

“I’ve been up here so many times, but I’ve never seen it quite like this.” She glances at me out of the corner of her eye and her cheeks get pink. “And I’ll never look at it the same way again.”

“Think Blake would let us make a tradition out of this?” I ask, my hand trailing down her back and landing on her round, perfect ass. I knead her cheeks and her head falls forward, her hair curtaining my view of her eyes and chest.

“Does that mean you’ll be back to Landmark after the six months are over?” she asks, her voice tentative.

I push back her hair and when she doesn’t look at me, I tilt her chin toward me. “Of course I’ll be back. Will you be here?”

She swallows hard. “I’m sure I will be at least some of the time.”

“Where are you gonna go?”

Her eyes flutter down. “That’s just it. I don’t know. But now, it’s hard to imagine being here when you’re not, and the past few months have already been so confusing…”

My phone starts ringing and I glance around in surprise. “I thought I turned my sound off. That must be my dad.” I look around and see my phone on the floor by my clothes. I get up and grab it.

“Dad?”

“Son…” My dad’s voice breaks and my heart takes a nosedive. “I’m really sorry to tell you this over the phone. I’m at the hospital with your mom. They’re doing an emergency bypass…she wasn’t feeling well, so I brought her in and she had a heart attack in the ER.”
