I laugh and he pushes my hair back and leans up, drawing my pebbled tips between his teeth.

“These tits were heaven at every stage, but if I’d known what you’d look like now, I wouldn’t have survived,” he says, his tongue flicking over me.

I groan and rub against him. “Same. I wouldn’t have believed I stood a chance with you if you’d had this body back then.”

I gasp as he surges inside of me.

“I love that you’re hard as a rock already,” I whisper. “Some things never change.”

We take our time, talking as we move, our bodies learning each other all over again.

CHAPTERTWENTY-FOUR

FIXATED

THEO

I’ll never get enough of her.

We took a long bath together hours ago—it was around midnight—talking as we let our bodies slip and slide together in the water.

I’ve licked every inch of her, felt her come around my dick five times, my fingersandmy tongue three times, and I’m still craving more.

She fell asleep about half an hour ago, and I’m lying here staring at her like a lovesick freak.

I don’t think anyone would argue that I’ve always been a bit hyper-focused on Sofie Copewell. And it never felt like a problem because it seemed like she was just as attached to me.

It only became problematic when she left, and I had to learn to survive without her.

I realize it’s probably extremely unhealthy to dive right back in headfirst, not to mention unwise and all kinds of risky, but damn if I don’t care fuck all about any of that.

I want to protect her.

I want to make sure she never feels afraid again.

I want to worship her day and night, so she never doubts for a second how much I love her…

And I want to never let her out of my sight.

Yeah, I’m a fucking mess.

And it’ll be a miracle if I don’t scare her off, but I’m going to do my damnedest to play it cool and hope that she’ll put up with the clusterfuck I am now.

She jumps and I rest my hand on her stomach. Her eyes squeeze shut, and she says something. Her head starts shaking, her movements more agitated.

“Theo,” she cries.

“I’m right here, Sof,” I tell her.

I try to gather her in my arms, but she’s shaking now, her cries getting louder.

“No, no,” she yells, saying something else under her breath.

“You’re safe,” I tell her.

I sit up and turn on the light, and when she sits straight up, arms flailing, I keep talking to her, low and measured. I don’t know whether it will help or hurt if I put my arms around her when she’s like this, so I just keep talking, eventually pleading with her to please wake up.

Tears are running down her face, her whole body trembling, when her eyes finally focus on mine.
