My brows shot up. Was I hearing him correctly? “Youwant to talk? Really?”
“I could always bust the cards out again.”
“No, talking’s good.” I was curious about anything he had to say. “Damn. Give the man an orgasm and he gets chatty.”
“Hmm. On second thought, maybe sleep is a good idea.”
“Nah, it’s too early to sleep.”
I stretched out on my side, tucking the pillow under my arm, and Hudson gave me a scorching once-over before his eyes fell on my hips and he quickly looked away.
“What?”
“You’re…” He gestured to my body.
“Naked? Still aroused?”
“Exactly.”
“Does that bother you?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m trying to keep my hands off you.”
I started to tell him he didn’t have to use hishands, but he waved me off.
“I already know your line. ‘Then use your mouth.’” His raised brow dared me to say otherwise.
“I’m not thrilled to know I’ve become that easy to read.” I grabbed my briefs off the floor and pulled them on. “Better?”
He shook his head. “Still tempting.”
I smiled. “Yeah? I’m glad you think so.”
“Being attractive has never been your problem. You know how hot you are.”
“Wow, my ego is really getting off on this. Please continue.”
“I’m surprised your ego fits on this bed between us.”
“It’s a tight fit, but we can make it work,” I said, shooting him a wink.
Hudson chuckled and ran his fingers through his hair, gripping the ends. “I swear I keep having déjà vu. About the trip to the Catskills.”
I waited for him to say more. Of course I remembered that trip. I’d been thinking about it too.
“What about it?” I asked.
“It’s just similar, I guess. The road trip and sharing a hotel room with you…” He cleared his throat. “I hadn’t expected it to be you I spent the week with.”
“Don’t tell me you would’ve rather roomed with Keith.”
“No.” Hudson moved to his side, mirroring my position. “I was glad he asked to switch rooms. He wanted a better view, but I think I got the better one.”
I swallowed hard as my heart skipped a few beats. “No regrets?”
