“It’s not too late to change your mind—”

I clamped a hand over his mouth before he could come up with any more reasons this wasn’t the best idea ever. “Trust me when I say I’ve never wanted anything more in my life than to be yours. If I could burrow my way inside you to coexist I would, but I’ll settle for living together.”

A smile slowly spread across Hudson’s face, making my knees weak. “You’re ridiculous.”

“But you believe me?”

“I believe you.”

“Good. And don’t forget to get my key made today. You know, soyoudon’t change your mind.”

“That is not happening. Ever.”

He brought his lips to mine for a long, lingering kiss, but when my phone went off again, I smacked him hard on the ass.

“Guess we’d better get to work so we can hurry up and get right back here,” I said.

Hudson groaned and rolled off me, and I got to my feet. One of the drawers he’d moved his stuff out of now held a couple days’ worth of my clothes. I grabbed what I needed as a shiver ran through me.

Soon this would be our normal. These would bemydrawers.Ourbed.Ourmorning routine.

It felt like just yesterday he was cursing my name when he saw me, and now the gorgeous man was inviting me to share his life with him.

Incredible didn’t even begin to cover it.

“You have five seconds to get your hot ass in the shower before I drag you back to bed,” Hudson said as he slid on his boxer briefs. He didn’t hide the leisurely way he adjusted his dick, like he was already counting on me ending up beneath him again.

“Careful. You’re starting to sound like me.” I shoved the drawer shut and grinned. “I’d love to stay, but I’ve got asses to kick before you drag me back to bed.”

“Including mine?”

“Absolutely.”

The amusement on Hudson’s face made my stomach flip as he started toward me.

“Guess I should go make breakfast, then.”

I snorted. “Make it?”

“Hey, ordering it from downstairs and putting it on a plate for you counts as making it.”

“Oh, my sweet, spoiled man. First thing on the list when I move in—how to make an omelet.”

Hudson wrinkled his nose. “The things I’ll do for you…”

Reaching for his face, I brought him in for one last taste of his mouth. When I pulled back, he brushed his thumb over my lower lip.

“Don’t go easy on me today, Edwards.”

I nipped at his thumb before returning his grin. “Wouldn’t dream of it, Montgomery.”
