I was out of breath. I gripped her ass, raising it up and down, making her ride me, she took the hint and continued faster. I was deep inside her. My eyes rolled back and I grunted, feeling a fire race throughout my body. “Sam…..” I called her name like a prayer as I busted inside her.

I flipped her over to lie under me, took out my erection, and thrust it back in hard. She yelled, kicking her legs in a frenzy as she came. I fell on the couch beside her. We said nothing, our panting filling the room. She turned and faced me, “Let’s take this to the bedroom.”

I grinned, this was going better than I expected.

CHAPTER7

Samantha

I wokeup to the sight of Jack sleeping next to me. My heart raced as I tried to process what happened earlier. We had gone at each other with a passion so bright it seemed I would be burned alive. I looked at his sleeping face, he looked so peaceful and vulnerable. I wanted him to open his eyes so I could see all the emotions he showed me with those eyes again.

I know I’ve been stubborn about selling the land, but I never thought it would lead to this. But I still wanted this wholeheartedly. What was going on with me? I could not be with him, not after all that was going on. He groaned and turned, taking his arm that was around me away. I held my breath waiting for him to wake up but he didn’t. Deep in my heart, I knew I wanted this, and to wake up by his side each morning. I ran my hand over his sculpted chest, feeling the soft white hair on it. I smiled and kissed his cheek. You will regret this, I thought.

I got out of bed, trying not to wake him up. I went to the bathroom and bathed. After I came out, he was still asleep, so I put on soft cotton pajamas and made my way to the kitchen.

I couldn’t help feeling conflicted. I was attracted to him, but at the same time, I could not shake off the feeling that I was being used. I pushed those thoughts away as I started to prepare breakfast for dinner for both of us. It felt like it should be morning after all.

Within a few minutes, I had prepared a simple meal, and the sweet aroma of pancakes and bacon filled the room. I set the table with care, placing the pancakes on a large plate and the bacon on a smaller one. Pouring a generous amount of maple syrup over the pancakes intensified the sweet smell.

Jack walks into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes sleepily. I smile at him, feeling a sudden rush of warmth in my chest.

“Good morning,” His voice was a little raspy. He had on only his boxers, showing his glorious body before me. “Wait- evening?” I blushed, feeling heat stirring in my stomach. I stole glances at him, my heart racing as I took in his rugged good looks.

“Good evening, I made us breakfast for dinner. Have a seat.” I motioned for him to sit.

He smiled at me, he was about to say something but stopped himself. I watched as he took a seat at the table, his eyes brightening at the sight of the food in front of him. I followed him and we sat side by side. I served the coffee and I watched as he took a sip, and a smile brightened his face. Smiling back, we ate while occasionally feeding each other. He was so romantic that I felt I was living in an alternative life, one where I was loved.

The atmosphere between us was warm and intimate. I felt a flutter of excitement as I watched him eat. The way he ate was both sensual and endearing, and I felt my heart doing backflips. He licked the syrup off his fingers, a small smile on his lips. He caught me watching and kissed me. I laughed as I kicked off the syrup smeared on my lips.

“This was delicious, thank you for treating me to this meal.” He said with genuine seriousness on his face. I felt a surge of pride at his words, happy to have made him happy. He leaned in and kissed me on the cheek, which made a sudden rush of heat spread through my body.

I smiled, “You’re welcome handsome.” I stood and stacked the plates. I felt his eyes on me as I walked back to the kitchen, subconsciously I swayed to my hips to keep his attention longer. I mocked myself, I was getting out of hand.

Returning back to the dining table, I saw he had moved to the parlor and turned on the TV. It felt like we were already a couple, I was annoyed with myself for letting things get this far but I also enjoyed the feeling of security I got from his presence. I joined him and sat on the couch beside him. I tried to focus on the TV to keep my mind from wandering but with his body so close to mine it was hard to think straight.

Finally, he broke the silence. “Samantha, I know you’re not happy about selling the land, but please understand that it’s for a good cause. I never meant to hurt you or do anything that would make your life miserable but necessity pushed me. I am sorry, and hope you find it in your heart to forgive me.”

For a moment I had forgotten why we fought and the issue about the land but when he brought it up my mood fell. I faced him, my thoughts clear and sober, “As much as I hate to admit this, I think you’re telling the truth but what I don’t understand is why my land specifically? Are you trying to expand your business?” I was curious.

“I wish it were that simple. The mayor wants my original land where my factory is built on to be returned to the city for a tourist attraction. As if we don’t have enough of them in the city. I was given a limited amount of time to move and I couldn’t find any other suitable land around here except yours. I had no idea you were the one who owned it.”

I could see the anger and frustration the news from the city had put him through. It was comforting to know we were forced into this situation together. “I don’t think I’ve agreed to sell my land to you just yet.” I said, waiting to see the reaction on his face. My resistance to the idea of selling the land had thawed though it still hurt.

“Sam, please. I will do my best to satisfy any wish of yours,” he said, his face looking cute in the sunset rays coming through the curtains.

I snorted, laughing a bit. “You look handsome when you beg. Do you know that? Anyways, I’ve been too stubborn for a while and I think it’s time I did the right thing. I know my parents would support me. I will sell the land to you but based on the previous deal. That you pay the bank loans and you give me the full value of the land in cash. Deal?”

His grin made his face look years younger. “Deal. Thank you.” He held my gaze, and I felt my toes curl up in anticipation.

Shaking my head, I asked, “When are we signing the papers?”

“As soon as possible. I will call my lawyers and by latest tomorrow a contract will be drawn up. Also we should get a land surveyor to measure the plot that’s yours.”

I nodded. My mind was wandering, I wasn't really listening. I knew that things were now out of my hands but I was glad the suffocating feeling I felt before was no longer weighing down on my heart. He left later that evening promising to call me when things were done.

The next day, I hired a lawyer and made my way to Jack’s company. The meeting took a while, with the lawyers speaking legal jargon and trying to hash out everything. Jack and I tried our best to be professional but our eyes betrayed our real feelings.

After hours of conversation, Jack and I were asked to sign the papers. I could feel the weight of the decision on my shoulders as I put pen to paper. The land was no longer mine.
