“Gorgeous.” He kisses me again and again, murmuring between each kiss. “Beautiful. Stellar.”

“You keep saying that.”

“I only tell the truth.”

“You keep saying that as well.”

“And yet you never seem to believe me.”

He extends his hand, and without hesitation, I intertwine my fingers with his, glancing back to peek at the attractive couple in the mirror. The couple radiates happiness, as if they were destined to be together. It takes a moment for my mind to catch up with what my eyes are witnessing, after all, I am one half of that couple.

I gasp, my mouth mimicking the woman in the mirror as she gazes back at me.

No regrets, Meg.

“Kaan?” I squeeze his hand tightly, fear creeping through me as I try to find the words to describe how I’m feeling. “I think I need to say something to you.”

“What is it?”

“Us together, this relationship… all of this has been hard for me.” He nods, encouraging me to continue. “I can’t pretend to have feelings for you, because Idohave feelings for you.”

“Well, that’s interesting.”

“Don’t you joke right now. I need to say this.” He has that adorable smirk on his face again. I swear that look makes my heart melt every single time. “I want you to know… I’m… I’m in.”

I take a deep breath as I watch his face turns from curious to surprise and that adorable smirk of his gets even bigger. “You’re are?”

“All in. But promise me one simple thing.”

“Anything.”

“Please don’t break my heart.”

“Never.” Kaan pushes a strand of hair behind my ear and lets out a little chuckle. “But I need you to promise me one thing in return.”

Brimming with happiness I would have promised him the world. “Anything.”

“Promise that you won’t leave my side tonight. I need protection from Ginny’s friends.”

“I heard.”

“You protect me from these crazy women and I’ll protect you from all the horny men that will be falling at your feet.”

“You’re hilarious.”

“Wait and see, Nutmeg. Wait and see.”
