My brothers finally gave me the all-clear to move things back to my regular office in Marco’s building, much to Bianca’s disgust. She’s grown rather attached to life at the casino.

She’s my rock and I don’t know how I would have gotten through all of this trauma without her.

Enzo’s staring at me as I glance across at him. He has that look in his eye, the one that tells me exactly what he’s going to do to me later.

I think back to just half an hour ago, when I pulled him into the barn so we could have a quickie. We still have to take it easy in the bedroom with his injury, so I’ve been doing a lot of sitting on him…

“I like it when you’re rough with me.” His words echoed right through my body.

He sat on the edge of the bed while I crawled into his lap.

“Good, because riding you has become my favorite position.”

“Mine too.”

“Hmm, something tells me you secretly like it when I dominate you.”

He gripped my chin with one hand, the other deftly undoing the top of my blouse. “Dominate me, belladonna? I don’t think so. But I am storing up your wise cracks and back-chat for future spankings.”

He hasn’t been able to do that, either. Much to my dismay.

“Promise?”

I rode him good, and hard, and he loved every minute of it.

He licks his lips as I stare at him.

“Eww,” Bria, my cousin, says next to me. “You two are so gross.”

I turn to her. “What?”

She rolls her eyes. “Go get a room already.”

“We don’t need a room,” Enzo interrupts. “Dining tables work just fine…”

Bria makes gagging noises as Enzo chuckles, and I shoot him a playful warning glare.

My brothers and Ma are just a few seats away.

If Ma hears anything like that coming out of his mouth, she’ll slap him silly.

Angelo taps his glass with a knife as he stands. “A toast,” he says loudly as everyone in the room quietens. “Ma and the girls have worked very hard to make this delicious feast for all of us.” He leans down and kisses Ma on the cheek as she smiles up at him.

She clutches his hand, and it brings a tear to my eye that my brother can be a ruthless mafia boss one minute, and a caring, loving son and brother the next.

That is Angelo and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Everyone agrees and gives thanks to the women around the table.

I look across to Katiya and Rayne, and then to Marco and the twins. They’re all smiling at Angelo and holding their glasses out. Enzo’s parents are opposite, with Aunt Voula and Uncle Giuseppe, Bria, Bianca, Santino, Jonas, and Rocco.

I turn to Enzo, and he’s still watching me.

Even now, after everything, he’s got the power to render me speechless.

“But since my little sister, and her soon-to-be husband, can’t let us just enjoy Thanksgiving like all normal people, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Enzo officially into the family,” he goes on.

“Good job he got shot,” Rocco calls out. “Or else I doubt he’d be being welcomed.”
