“Oh Blue, what did you do?” Ace’s awed voice comes from behind me as I light the last candle, and I turn to see him smiling at the scene before him.

“Wow,” Mase mutters as he pushes Ace out of the way and the guys all enter behind him, broad and happy smiles lighting up their faces and easing the knot of nerves that I have in my stomach.

“I’m starting a new tradition,” I tell them.

I don’t get a chance to explain anything else though, as they all surround me, and I get passed from one of my guys to the other as they spoil me with kisses and thank you’s. By the time that they’re all done, my cheeks are hurting from smiling so much.

“Alright, alright, as much as I appreciate the kisses, you guys need to blow your candles out and open your presents!”

They chuckle at my evident excitement, and then all line up to blow their candles out as I sing a very off-key version of happy birthday. I’d apolgise for it, but it’s the thought that counts anyway.

I only got them silly little things as their presents since I wanted to set them up as quickly as possible, and unless I was going to buy them something like a car, they have everything that they want anyway. I did make sure to write something personalized in their cards so that they know how much I appreciate and care about them as individuals. I think, with a relationship like ours, there is a risk that we could get lost in the whole, and while our relationship as a whole is important, our individual relationships with each other are as equally important, and I want to make sure that they are taken care of properly.

While the others are all messing around with their gifts, and Ace is trying out his icing, which has Rome yelling at him to at least use a fork if he isn’t going to cut it, Mason and Mal make their way over to me.

I frown at their expressions and then groan, “Oh fuck, please tell me that I didn’t get your flavours the wrong way around? I’m so fucking sorry I’ll . . .”

Mal’s lips landing on mine in a searing kiss that has my toes curling and clit twitching, immediately puts an end to my apology, and before I can truly sink into the kiss, Mal pulls away and spins me in his arms as his lips move to my neck and Mason’s lips meet mine, the way they all kiss is so different, and I love each and every one of them.

Mason pulls back, his hands still on my neck, his thumbs rubbing along my jaw gently, “It still amazes us that you know who we are as individuals and not just the twins.”

“People assume that because we’re twins, we like the same things, and our personalities are completely the same. It gets tiring,” Mal adds, his lips brushing my ear as he talks and making me shiver.

“And you really know us, what we like and what we don’t. You see us, and that’s still such a shock to us that whenever it's proven to us like today, it just makes us care about you so much more,” Mason adds.

“As if that’s even possible.”

My heart is practically bursting with emotion at their words, and it apparently takes away my ability to speak with it, because I just end up standing there looking up at them and smiling like a crazy person. This idea has turned out much better than I thought it would.

After a minute of me just staring at them, they both chuckle, and Mason takes one of my hands and turns me around to face the door out into the yard.

“Come on, let’s go and see what the others are up to,” Mal suggests taking my other hand.

“You know you two distracted me so much that I hadn’t even realised that they weren’t in here anymore,” I reply, probably finding it more amusing than I should.

When we get outside, Rome has already started up the grill and is grilling while the others sit around on the chairs sipping beers. The scene makes me smile, we haven’t just relaxed and done typical hanging out for far too long, and we really need this.

“Thank you so much, Koroleva. As I said before, we’ve never really been bothered about birthdays, but you’ve made this so special that it’s definitely going to be something that we look forward to now,” Rome tells me as soon as he sees me and gestures for me to go over to him so I can tuck myself under his arm.

“Although, you might have to be a bit patient with us when it comes to your birthday. You’ve given us a good example, but we might still get it a bit wrong,” Rip adds, sipping his beer as his eyebrows furrow.

I smile, “Honestly, I just want to make sure that we remember each other's birthdays and celebrate them together, even if it means because we’re on a job, we just say a quick happy birthday and get a cupcake. I just want it to be acknowledged.”

“That we can definitely do,” Ace grins as he pats the dogs who are sitting on either side of him. They’ve pretty much settled in completely now and just wander around the house as they please, although, usually, you can find them with Ace or in his room.

“What should we do after lunch, then?” Mason asks curiously.

I shrug, “Well, it is all of your collective birthdays, so what would you guys like to do?”

They’re all silent until Mal suddenly exclaims, “I know; why don’t we explore the woods again? We said that we’d come back out when we had more time, and the house is old, so there could be all sorts of hidden gems out there.”

“By hidden gems, he means old buildings that could have things in them from the previous owners,” Mason exclaims and then adds, “I’m definitely up for that though.”

“Yeah, the weather is a lot nicer than it was the last time we came out. Why not,” Rip adds.

“I could definitely do with stretching my legs. We’ve basically just vegged out for the last few days,” Rome replies.

As each of them agrees, Ace gets more excited until he’s practically bouncing in his chair as he looks at me waiting for my answer.
